I'm currently experimenting with adding LOD models to all the models in OB. LOD models = progressive polygon details, similar how mipmap LOD works, but except for polygons,

i was told that Bethesda did not make LOD models for OB eventho NIF format supports it. WHy? that beats the hell outta me since all curent/next generation games use dynamic LOD these days, in order to show as much as possible on the screen., while having maximum performance

so the farther away the models, the lower the polygon count, hence, higher the performance without any decrease in image quality at all.

Currenlty what this mod does is only to use a lower polygon head for ALL distances. This lower polygon head is made by bethesda already.

Without much visible decrease in quality, you get about 3-6 FPS increase depending on ur rig.
