I don't mean to sound dense, but can somebody explain to me the difference between this and QTP3 Redimized? I see some posters in this thread are running them concurrently?
Nevermind. Found this on the QTP3-R page: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45666/? " DESCRIPTION:
QTP3R finally on the Nexus! This is version 1.0 with the 1.3 patch and fixes included. It was merged, including the original readme files because many people didn't download the separate patch. Included in this version are PYFFI Optimized QTP3 Meshes - Fixed."
When you say that it's incompatible with any mod that replaces meshes, does that include the Mesh Improvement Project? What would happen if I installed this first and then MIP?
Yes, but this one includes other meshes apart from the ones covered by MIP. It's best to install this one, and then MIP, letting it overwrite whatever it needs to.

Operation Optimization is out-of-date & is said by some to cause problems it objects that can cause crashes, I suggest you use "fps Poly Gone Ext" instead (it also has some optimized mesh packs for mods as well as for vanilla oblivion).
also if you can't run QTP3 Redimized I suggest switching to Wiseman's Reduced Textures with CaptNKILLs NonTiling Texture Mod installed after which although look no where near as nice will be a lot more friendly on older computers.
a few more nice mods are Streamline, Oblivion Stutter Remover & Low Poly Grass. also could be worth trying a handy bit of free software made by IObit called game booster which may help.
FPS Details. I had 30/35 fps indoors. No difference. I had 20/30 fps on roads. No difference. I had 10/20 fps in battles. No difference. I had 12/28 fps in cities. No difference. I had 18/25 fps in forests. No difference.
I'm pretty sure the way I installed has overwritten everything in the correct order. I've tried so much to boost my FPS past 30 but the only thing that helped really was uninstalling MMM/Better Cities and disabling the music in game.
Update: Alright, since nobody bothered to answer my question I decided to experiment myself. I tried Bomrets Texture Pack then the optimized version and then the redimized pack for Qarl and then with this pack. If you want to use this pack first download the full pack (I suggest OMOD) then the UOP compatibility patch and this. Uninstall the Unofficial Patch if you already have done so. Install the OMOD version of the Qarl's pack, then the unofficial patch. Next, the UOP compatibility patch and then finally this optimized version. Yes, you'll notice some dropped FPS but if your computer is a high-end, then it's worth it. I noticed some graphical glitch with other texture packs when I was in a cave but after switching to this pack they are gone. So in short install these mods in this order: Qarl's Texture Pack 3 OMOD (It already includes other fixes from Qarl) Unofficial Oblivion Patch 3.2 (uninstall this if you already installed it and then rearrange the order later) Unofficial Patch Compatibility Patch The Optimized QTP3 Fixed
Hope this helps others and I hope I did not confuse anybody.
What if I already installed UOP and Qarl's Texture Pack III already? Should I just install this and overwrite those? What about other mods that is related to the texture pack such as Animated Window Lighting System? I'm experiencing some low fps in forest areas after installing the full version and want to see if this version helps a bit.
One more comment...which one is better, this mod or the redimized mod at planet elderscrolls?

MIP will override that.
