While my grand scheme of the series I intend to create goes hundreds of years following the Oblivion Crisis, all dreams must start small. 'Oathfast' takes place the same year as TESIV: Oblivion, but in the Dunmer homeland of Morrowind.
It chronicles the events trainspring after the death of the Tribunal and the beginnings of a new House War.

In the 3E 433, Morrowind is in upheaval. Gods are dead, their religion shattered. Royal decrees are blatantly ignored by the populace, and covert wars begin for the freedom of every soul in Vvardenfell. A single raid initiates a storm that may engulf all the land. And a hero will rise to bring the nation to peace, or tear it down to ash. For in the heart of every hero, there is darkness.....

These first three chapters introduce four of the Five, the main characters around which the first two books will curculate. The writing quality is not the best, and if necessary, I may even need a ghost writer if I am unable to put my ideas on paper. But that is purely hypothetical. For now, I have designated AcrylicElf as my editor, and she is therefore the only one allowed to send me cleaned up versions back. I am not accepting help writing the book, or any ideas from others concerning plot, at the moment.

When you read this book, I assume you will know what is going on. This requires a bare-bones knowledge of the plot of Oblivion, because it is barely mentioned. You will mainly need to know what occured in TES3: Morrowind, as I rely heavily on lore from that time. If you are still midway through Morrowind, don't read this. You'll wreck your own gaming experience.

This is a .doc file. Make sure to have MSWord, Open Office, or whatever other program. .doc is a pretty standard file, I'm sure you can open it.

Because of the pace I work at, this novel may no longer make sense upon the release of any further games from BethSoft. New lore could conflict, but I will continue in that case nonetheless.

BethSoft has shot down this work and made it clear that I cannot publish it commercially. So, it is now fan fiction. For free, much to my disdain. This will slow progress, so forgive me, guys.







Included with the main file is a short chronology detailing the intended project. The sheer size of the plot I have come up with is staggering, so the series may take a very long time. Have patience.
