Hunger and Thirst Survival v1.0 for Oblivion (based on REAL HUNGER V1.3 mod)

New features in this first version:

-Added player thirst. Player will now need to drink liquids to survive. The player can go without drinking for 10% of their endurance level (in hours), after that, thirst will increase 1 point per hour. This is the same as food.

-Added thirst restoration effects to all regular drinks

-Added food and drink restoration points for hunger and thirst in the script effect description for easy viewing reference

-Increased gold value of all food and drinks by 10

-Added 5 critical levels for Hunger and Thirst to the pop up messages to clarify. Level 1 is least serious, and Level 5 is the most serious

-Added a new drink called Purified Water. Several Publicans and Pawnbrokers around Tamriel sell this water

-Added player death when deprived of food or drink for too long. Death will come soon after the critical Level 5 warning message pops up


The more expensive the drinks and food are, the longer they will hold off the effects of thirst and hunger.

The following drinks and their hydration units:


1 unit: Rosethorn Mead

2 Units: Beer, Meade, and Cheap Wine, Newheim's Special Brew

5 units: Surilie Brothers Wine,

8 units: Tamika's West Weald Wine

10 units: Purified Water

15 units: Surilie Brothers Vintage 415

20 units: Tamika Vintage 415

30 units: Surilie Brothers Vintage 399

35 units: Tamika Vintage 399



additional info:

*does not include water refilling wells and such. Perhaps in a future version, but for now players will need to buy, find, or steal all of their drinks*

*the effects of thirst and hunger at the same time can have a critical doubling effect on player stats. Be careful!*

* Fixed stat drain bug. Stats were not being refreshed after eating! They are now.


========= FEATURES

* Level of hunger is unlimited (0=Stuffed -> inf=somewhat hungry). So in theory, if you were a God, you wouldnt need to eat.
* When you view the stats menu, a message appears displaying how much food you need to be fully stuffed.
* When you get hungry, messages appear to tell you that you need food.
* The following stats are effected by hunger: Agility, Endurance, Strength, Willpower & Personality.
Health & fatigue are not directly effected but your max health and fatigue will diminish as your stats are drained.
* Every player can go without food for 10% of their endurance level (in hours), after that, hunger will increase 1pt per hour.
* Hunger is restored when eating using a Restore Hunger effect. It is thus possible to make Hunger Restore potions by mixing different food items.
* Different foods will restore hunger at a lesser or greater level. The list is as follows:

1 unit foods:
- Blackberry
- Carrot
- Onion
- Radish
- Strawberry

2 unit foods:
- Apple
- Cheese Wedge
- Grapes
- Leek
- Lettuce
- Orange
- Pear
- Tomato
- Watermelon
- Wheat Grain

3 unit foods:
- Loaf of bread
- Corn
- Potato
- Pumpkin
- Rat meat
- Rice
- Sweetroll

4 unit foods:
- Crab meat
- Jumbo Potato
- S'jirra's Famous Potato Bread
- Sweetcake

5 unit foods:
- Cheese Wheel
- Ham

6 unit foods:
- Mutton

7 unit foods:
- Beef

8 unit foods:
- Boar meat
- Shepherds Pie
- Venison
