A crystal bladed sword, available for purchase in the Imperial City.

Permissions and credits
I give to you, the product of many months of headaches and tinkering around in the toolset, nifskope and photoshop; A Crystal Order Sword. Basically, an Order Sword..made of crystal. The sword is a retexture, yes, but its so much more.
It can be yours, just by buying it from Vernado at The Best Defense. I don't know what else to say; it really is my first mod, so try to be constructive! (not DEconstructive =D)

Installion: Simply unrar to your Oblivion directory, enable the provided ESP through the vanilla oblivion launcher mod manager or OBMM, and you should be good to go.

Disclaimer: Obviously, the meshes aren't mine. However, because of the way that the original Order Sword is presented to us as a one-piece weapon, and the way I wanted to set-up the blade and the hilt differently, I had to break the meshes into two piece, which means it had to be provided with the download. The meshes therefore belong solely to their original creators at Bethesda. Also, some of the skinwork on the hilt is nothing more then clever manipulations of Bethesda's own iron and steel sword textures, so those too to some degree, belong to Bethesda.

Note: If you use this mod, but do not own Shivering Isles, you *are* breaking copyright law. Keep this in mind.

Changes between 1.0 and 2.0: Reworked textures to better show its attributes, reworked UVMapping to remove the glitch on the hilt.
2.0 and 2.1: Including the missing icon, and added an optional icon download for those that had already downloaded 2.0. (My appologies for it not being in the initial release; pretty tired over here.)
Requests: Anyone care to make a scabbard for it? (I can't reskin the Daedric Clamp scabbard; the UV mesh is too complicated to tinker with.)
2.1 and 2.2: Set up the mesh to autopath the textures; should help eliminate the "purple blade" issue. Uploaded .omod version; will create a 2.1 fix, to avoid having to download the 2.2 omod, as well as a full NON-OMOD 2.2.rar. (Tired! Need Sleep!) UPDATE: 2.2 Manual Install is finally up, as well as a 2.1 to 2.2 patch. Sorry for the (huge) delay. Work is starting on a new set of blades; stay tuned!

Recently, I've received a few questions/requests about the weapon. So lets go!

Q&A:
Q: Can I make a quest/dungeon/building surrounding your weapon? Its just that I don't like that its buyable, and I promise I'll give you full credit!

A: Uhh...sure..just make sure credit is given where due; I may have done the texture and model tweaking, but the model itself is from Bethesda. Don't forget that.

Q: OMG! Planning on releasing any other colors?

A: No, I had an artistic design in mind when I started work on it; I've made it, and now that 2.2 is out, I'm essentially done with it. Call it stuck up, but I don't particularly want anyone else recoloring it either. Just a personal thing.

Q: Are you going to customize the glow map (lines/glowing areas that appear when enchanted), so that it'll look *really* awesome, or glow with runes or something?

A: No. I tried. That stuff is infinitely more confusing then it needs to be.

Q: I'm working on something at the moment; can you teach me how to do your crystal effect?

A: I'd love to...! Except I'm not even entirely sure how *I* did it. My advice is to tinker with the model builder, reverse engineer other people's work, hell, even look at the crystal ball thats already in the game. I'm sure you'll get it.
