Have you ever installed a new mod to get a certain item but then found that this new item makes your Argonian/ Khajiit character lose their tail? Do two items from two different, or even the same mods use the same equipment slot, preventing you from wearing both at the same time? Well you have just found a solution to your problem.

The first part of this mod/ patch basically modifies the items from selected other mods so that they don't use the "tail" slot on your character unless your character doesn't have a tail. An item using the tail slot is the reason why your character's tail disappears when certain items are equipped. The second part of this mod is to distribute the mod item slots so that two mod item won't use the same item slot (assuming those two items both use the tail slot), allowing you to wear both at once.

The second part involves items which use multiple slots, one of which being the tail (at the moment, this consists of cloaks from "Capes and Cloaks" and guard cuirasses with capes from OOO) and removes the tail slot dependancy. For example, cloaks used to require the hair and tail slot, now it only requires the hair slot.

Forgive me if you don't understand this description. Maybe the picture uploaded here will better explain what this mod does.

This mod DOES NOT make items from other mods unusable and worthless. Instead, it modifies one specific property of the item in question so that it doesn't use the tail slot (if you are wondering what I am talking about when I mention the tail slot, open up the Construction Set. Then load the Oblivion plugin, or any mod, then look at a few pieces of clothing and armour. Every wearable item in the game works by replacing a body part of your character with that item. The body parts chosen to be replaced are dependant on which slots are selected).

The installation instructions are fairly complex so follow them to the letter.

Requirements
=========
- Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE) v12 or later
- Wrye Bash
-at least one of the mods listed above.

Recommended utilities:
- Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM) (if you don't want to use BAIN)

Incompatibility
===============
None known. Just load the bashed patch after every mod that this mod/ patch fixes and load the script ESP anywhere before my other ESP.

Known Issues or Bugs
====================
-Capes and Cloaks used in OOO and "Capes and Cloaks" might clip with your tail, especially the longer ones.
-If you aren't an argonian or khajiit and you Ctrl equip an item currently using a tail slot while you already have an item using the tail slot, the first item will be unequipped and the second item will be scripted to use the tail slot instead. I have no way of fixing this problem. The solution would be equipping then unequipping the second item. Both items will now be set to use no equipment slot. Ctrl equip the two items starting with the one you want to display on your character's body.
