These are the scripts for implementing a Commentary Mode into a mod. This feature creates a series of special nodes, that when activated function as a sort of in game ‘Making Of’ feature, like a commentary in a movie, allowing the developers to explain how the game works. After seeing this feature in Valve’s The Orange Box, I decided to try to use it in my expansion The Below, hoping that this would prompt others to use it in their mods. To help further that goal, I’ve decided to release the scripts the system uses, along with a step-by-step guide to integrate them into your own projects. Doing so is relatively easy and allows you to implement the system into virtually any project very quickly. If anyone has any ways of making this better, send me a message and we’ll see how it works out. Please keep in mind that this guide is intended for those who already have some familiarity with the Construction Set.

Simply copy the text files somewhere that you can easily access and follow the guide to add the feature into your mod.

Use where ever you want on whatever you want! The whole point of this file is to make Commentary Mode more readily available to modders. Please credit me with figuring out how to implement it in Oblivion, but DO NOT credit me with thinking of the idea originally. All credit for that goes to Valve.
Also if you want, send me a message about what you’re using this in. It’s not a requirement, but I’d like to hear about it and add it to the list of mods below.
