About this mod

My take on a T-Virus like outbreak, customisable so it is suitable both for people who want to try and survive a full blown outbreak, or for people who dont want their game to revolve around the mod.

1: Description

Ok, I know there are several other mods based on this idea so i've tried to include as many so far not implemented ideas as possible in my take on a T-Virus like outbreak in tamriel.

This mod will start once its been activated, and give you 4 spells, one for healing yourself, one for healing someone else, one for changing the options and one for infecting someone else

You can customise these aspects of the disease, but generally once someone has been infected they will spread the disease to those nearby, after a few minutes collapse and a few minutes after that they will turn in to:

A zombie, skeleton or lich! Hopefully this'l make it a bit less repetitive than just zombie mods. These undead minions will go about causing havoc and infecting more people (if they can't find anyone nearby they'll travel to a random city (or stay if they are lurkers)) to infect even more.

There isn't really anything special about the creatures (exept their infectiousness) bar what happens when you kill them. When they die there is about a 1/4 chance that they'll just get up again, if they do youll have to kill them again, and if they dont its important to get the bodies away from anyone/thing nearby that you think may be infected as if the bodies become infected again there is a chance that they will rise again as a "Nether" or "Ghostly" version of what they where before with shader effects on them similar to the Forlorn Watchman so you can have hordes of ghostly zombies too. When lich's die its a bit different, instead of rising again as a lich it will transform into a Wraith!

You yourself can also be infected with undeaditis, nothing really special yet its just some attribute changes along with water breathing and night eye for some effect, hopefully you'l be able to turn into a zombie soon fingers crossed.

I think i've covered everything, hope you enjoy it!

1.2
----

MAJOR reworkings of all scripts to make them better / faster

You no longer need to go to edgars shop to get the spells, the first time this mod is loaded in a game it will add to you the new spells automatically.

New option system allowing you to customise how the virus works while you play, including options for
-Whether essentials can be infected
-Whether the player can be infected
-How often the disease tries to spread ( mainly for low performance computers, you can just lower this and up the chance it has to succeed
-How much chance the disease has of infecting someone successfully
-How long it takes after someone has been infected before they collapse
-How long after that it takes before they die & become undead
-Whether the undead consider the player a friend or enemy
-You can select some of my premade modes for the variables above, note that none of these will alter your Can infect essential / player settings so you dont have to keep changing them.

These modes are:

28 days: Where people are pretty much instantly turned, but there is no airborne infection, mainly for sandbox

Resident evil: Where people have the disease for about 7 minutes but dont collapse, and there is very little disease spread for those not in combat with the undead

I am legend: Where they stay normal for about 3-4 minutes before turning, no collapse, but LOTS of airborne infection

DeadRising: A balanced setting

Background:
For players who do not want their game to revolve around this mod, it sets all settings to those which will encourage a slow and rare zombie outbreak so as to keep a serious game while this mod is active.

Also, you have 2 new spells, heal self and heal other, these are a little unbalanced at the moment and are only really for disinfecting people you really like ( companions etc ) and shouldnt really be used to try and fight the disease yet because you will win easily.

1.1
----

Fixed another bug but i cant remember what it was
Changed the player disease further, the player will now collapse from time to time once the disease has developed, so fighting with others is a lot more advisable
Spooky weather implemented a lot better, it will now periodically switch between fog, thunderstorms etc
Another creature, along with new effects for it
Overall tweaks to disease spread rate etc, along with some small buffs which applies to all undead such as a 10 reflect spell and water walking, just to add to the sense that there is very powerfull (and evil) magic at work.
Some AI packages improved and scripts for the disease infecting creatures streamlined
Fixed a few animation mistakes where zombies would hit you with arms they didnt have

1.07
----

Lots of small bugs taken out
Some new ideas implemented:
Changed the way the disease works for the player
Added a few new creatures

1.02
----

A few bugs have been removed & file size reduced.

1.01
----

Changed the note to the broadsheet used for the Black Horse courier to be sure everyone has it + given the spells to edgar to sell for free if it still doesn't work.

Decreased the rate at which the infection spreads.

Hopefully fixed the CTD'ing when you go into menu mode, the code there is useless now anyway and has been completely removed.

Fixed that NPC's from crowded cities didn't disappear when they turned into undead, now the bodies are moved to an unreachable cell so even if they don't disable properly you won't notice anything.

5: Incompatibilities

Some problems with loading old save-files have been reported, this can be fixed by putting the mod higher on the load-order.

6: Legal

You can use this however you like but you must give credit and link to the page this mod is hosted on (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21117) on your page.

Have fun, please report any bugs or feedback and if you like it could you pleeese post some images my printscreen button doesn't work.

8: Advised

The crowded cities mod is highly recommended for use along side this mod
The open cities mod is also recommended

9: Not advised

It is not advised while using this mod to:

1 - Make use of this mod while in the tutorial dungeon, yes it is funny when the emperor turns into a zombie and kills all the blades, but yes it will also mean that you will be trapped in there, at level 1, with a load of undead, and the main quest broken.

2 - Use talkie toasters companion mod, ( It may occur with other ones I havent tested it ), because if the disease kills one of your companions you will be stuck with "Grognak has died" in the top left hand corner for ever. I have no idea why this happens and if anyone can tell me I will be happy to fix it, but untill then dont use the mod unless you dont mind message spam.
