----Unofficial Patches & Refurbish - ALL----
Original Mods by: Quarn & Kivan, Strategy Master
Merged .ESP by Humanbean234

-------------------------------------------------------------
Ye, gods... I might-as-well set this mod to 'hidden'.
Haven't played-with or modded 'Oblivion' in... over a decade. Lol.
At this stage, I'd recommend the consolidated Unofficial Patches by Quarn
& Kivan in combination with either the DLC Delayers mod from Arthmoor (download HERE)
or rhk's DLC Delayers (download HERE)

Thank-you to everyone who found this useful during it's early years of life, and a
nod-of-thanks to the modding community for everything I've learned from
them. :)
-------------------------------------------------------------------

I like a complete game with all options and expansions available, so I've purchased *all* the DLC plugins, and have them installed over a base of Game of the Year edition.

I like a fully patched game, and am immensely grateful to Quarn & Kivan for the Unofficial patches that make the Oblivion experience more enjoyable.

I like an immersive game, where I'm not bombarded with messages immediately on exiting the sewer, and where my Paladin-types aren't given ownership of Vile Lairs, or other silliness... which is why I also use Strategy Master's SM Plugins Refurbish.

What I really DON'T like is having twenty .esp files in my Load Order, when I really only need *one*, so I used TES4Gecko to merge all those .esp files together, and here's the result.

==Description==

This mod condenses
Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch 1.4.0 - Quarn & Kivan
Unofficial Official Mods Patch v15 - Quarn & Kivan
SM Plugin Refurbish 1.12 - Strategy Master
into a single .esp

THESE WERE THE MOST-CURRENT VERSIONS AS-OF SEPTEMBER 21, 2008

==Requirements==

This mod requires the complete game with all additions that can be gotten from Bethesda.

Oblivion (updated to v1.2.0416)
Shivering Isles
Knights of the Nine
Fighter's Stronghold (Battlehorn Castle)
Wizard's Tower (Frostcrag Spire)
Thieves' Den
Vile Lair
Horse Armor
Mehrunes Razor
Spell Tomes
Orrery

and I highly recommend using Oblivion Mod Manager.

==Installation==

1. Extract the files using 7-zip (you can use 'Extract Here' as they are contained in a file titled 'UnPatRef ALL')
2. Copy or Cut/Paste the contents of that folder to your 'Data' folder
3. Enable the .esp using OBMM, ensuring that it comes after all DLC content.

==Bugs and Issues==

This mod is dependant on the original DLC mods for operation; if you do not have the complete game with all DLC expansions installed, it may cause Oblivion to crash to desktop.
This mod is incompatible with JOG's Plugins Unnerfed.
Please notify me if you find any other incompatibilities.

==Details of Operation==

The Unofficial Patches correct an uncountable number of bugs and item-placement errors in the expansions for Oblivion. The SM Plugin Refurbish changes the starting of the DLC Expansions quests in the following fashion:

-------------------
Horse Armor
-------------------
Look around these Imperial City taverns (Merchant's Inn, King and Queen Tavern, Tiber Septim hotel) for the horse armor note.

-------------------
Orrery
-------------------
To start the quest you must first complete the Mages Guild quest 'Necromancer's Moon'. Once the quest is completed you can talk to Bothiel about the Imperial Orrery.
(The reason for this is because the mages guild quest dialog assumes the Orrery is not operational and so it makes sense you can only repair the Orrery after this quest)

-------------------
Wizard's Tower (Frostcrag Spire)
-------------------
You get the deed from the Countess of Bruma once your skills in magicka are noticeable and you can prove your inheritance to the countess.
You can either reach a high rank in the Mages Guild as proof, or the average skill of your 7 magic skills must be high enough.

-------------------
Thieves' Den
-------------------
Citizens in Anvil may tell you the rumor of the cavern as long as you have stolen enough.

When the den is yours, your infamy will determine who you can hire:

No Infamy: Supplier, Fletcher
Low Infamy: Security Expert
Moderate Infamy: Spymaster
High Infamy: Fence

-------------------
Mehrunes Razor
-------------------
If you have adventured enough, someone may mention to you a rumor about Varsa Baalim.

-------------------
The Vile Lair
-------------------
Sleeping after committing enough murders will have this message delivered to you mysteriously.

-------------------
Knights of the Nine
-------------------
The church is not initially destroyed at the start of the game. Once your fame is high enough, the church gets attacked and rumors about Anvil's destruction will soon spread.

-------------------
Shivering Isles
-------------------
The rumor will pop up randomly as a normal rumor for the people in Bravil.
Of course, you can still head directly over to Shivering Isles yourself without the rumor.

-------------------
Battlehorn Castle
-------------------
Read the Black Horse Courier article about the Blackwood Company to see a snippet about the castle and the quest will activate.
