Custom 3rd person view - v1.0 07/09/08
----------------------

by Loup Sombre

This mod allows you to replace the 1st person view by a 3rd person shooter-like camera. Several cameras are provided in the archive as examples but I higly recommend that you do your own camera to fit your liking.

v1.1:
-----

- Added the esp to automatically type the console command Show1stPerson. Require OBSE v16 or higher. OBSE v16 currently being a beta, don't use the esp if you prefer to wait for the final release of OBSE v16.

Installation:
-------------

Please read carefully the following instructions:

- WARNING: Be sure to uninstall (delete) any previous modification in Data\Meshes\Characters\_1stperson (especially if you use my mod "3rd person animations in 1st person view") before installing the mod.
- Look at the images provided in the archive, choose the camera you want and replace the Data folder by the one in the "Camera #" folder.
- Go in My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\ folder and open Oblivion.ini. Then look for the line "fDlgFocus=" (under [Interface]) and set it to 20.0000 (the value is 2.1000 by default). This line will prevent the game from zooming when talking to an NPC, which is highly adviced as modifying the 1st person camera will shift the NPC's head during dialogs.
- In game be sure you are currently in the normal 3rd person view. Tap the [²] key to bring the console command, then type "s1st" and enter. Close the console ([²] again) and play in 1st person view. Now the camera should be the one you installed.
- Activate the optional esp if you want to remove the mounting horse and sitting angle restriction when looking down.

Customize the camera position:
------------------------------

Open the skeleton.nif file in Data\Meshes\Characters\_1stperson with Nifskope. Then you can edit the translation values of the bone "LSExtraCamera". In game, your character will always be rendered at the Scene Root position (don't worry about the fact there is a skeleton far from the Scene Root, you shouldn't see it in 1st person view).

Known bugs:
-----------

- You have to go in 3rd person view and type "s1st" each time you launch the game.
- Re-type "s1st" if you want to play in normal 3rd person view without uninstalling the mod.
- You can see the normal arms of the 1st person view when sitting or mounting on horse (as the game force you to go in 3rd person view during these animations)
- Arrows comes from behind the player instead of his bow.
- The aim will not show exactly where you are shooting arrows/spells. If the camera is shifted to the right of the player, then you will fire lightly to the left of the aim. This can be solved for arrows by editing the bone "LSExtraBip01" in the skeleton.nif so that the skeleton is behind the camera and not behind the Scene Root BUT arrows will come from behind the camera instead of behind the player.
- NPCs will look at the camera instead of the player's head.
- The player has no shadow.
