**What This Collection Of Downloads Is**
Each of the downloads here contain special *.nif.patch files which can then be applied to the original .nif files that they were made from.
What does that mean?
Well, first I ran the each of original meshes (the .nif files) through a program called PyFFI. PyFFI among the many things it does, removes duplicate and redundent data from mesh files. In short it makes them smaller at no cost other than the time required to run hundreds of files through it.
The practical up shot of this is that many of the vanilla oblivion mesh files and many meshes available right here on TES contain tons of redundent data. Larger mesh files increase the likely hood that your game will stutter while it loads a required mesh.
Since it's illegal for me to upload the actual mesh files from vanilla oblivion OnmyojiOmn provided a clever method of creating nif patches using a open source binary difference engine. The *.nif.patches contianed in these downloads are the differences between the original files and my optimized files.
When you download one of these you get a folder, in the folder you'll find a .bat file called ApplyPatches.bat, two exe's, two folders (patches and originals) and a read-me the read me will explain who to apply the patches to your meshes.
For each of the downloads there is a requirement that you have the original .nif files.
In the case of PyFFI-ed Vanilla Oblivion Meshes Patch you need to have the original Oblivion - Meshes.bsa that was installed when you installed the game.
In the case of, for example, PyFFI-ed Harvest Containers Meshes Patch you'll need either Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul or Harvest[Containers] to apply the patches.

**What's The Point of This**
Simply put, it may help your performance. I say may because to some extent I'm a little skeptical.
What I will say though is that there's a fair chance that at the very least you'll see a little less stuttering.

**Notes**
PyFFI-ed Vanilla Oblivion Meshes Patch is a vanilla mesh replacer, as such it should never replace any mesh added by any other mod. The only meshes this should replace are the ones that come with vanilla Oblivion.
