About
Ever seen a warrior in his 3 inches of wrought ebony, pressing into battle, arrows
bouncing off his shell, a mace cracks and blunts against his reinforced helmet
unto the fray he presses...
...suddenly there is a crack of a lightning bolt and he gets completely wasted in a
single shot, he'd had better hopes of survival if he'd been stark naked; at least
then he could've tried to *dodge* the attack.
Nope, if you're like me and don't buy the idea that not even 6 inches of lead can
hinder a magical projectile, then this mod is probably what you need. It adds your
physical armour rating to your elemental resistances (Fire, Frost, Shock - Untyped
magic on the other hand can still bypass it)
Magical armour bonuses don't count, so the guys who shun armour in favour of shield
enchanted pyjamas won't get the same benefits as wearing a real manly suit of plate
or chainmail, putting some purpose back behind wearing real armour and giving non-magic
user warriors a fighting chance in a fireball slinging contest.

Notes
The magical resistance is not displayed in your active effects page, but it's there.
If you have any doubts use the console command "player.GetAV MagicResist" to see for
yourself. Think of it as a part of your armour than an active effect
If you feel the bonus provided is too weak or too strong, you can change it by using
the console command "set MagicDefence.fModifier to X", whereby X is a number between
0 and 1, 0.5 gives you a bonus relative to half your armour value, 1.0 gives the same
magic resistance as you have armour value.
ie.
set MagicDefence.fModifier to 0.75
YOU MUST REMOVE YOUR OWN ARMOUR BEFORE ISSUING THIS COMMAND
NPCs are effected too, both friend and foe alike. This can be especially handy in places
like Kvatch where you are expected to guide martial type NPCs through areas full of
usually armour ignoring spellcasters.

***IMPORTANT***
UNLIKE MOST MODS THIS MOD CANNOT BE READILY UNINSTALLED. REMOVING THE MOD WILL NOT REVERT THE ARMOUR BONUSES THAT HAVE BEEN GRANTED TO YOURSELF OR THE NPCS.
You can partially get around this by removing your armour and waiting 10 seconds before saving the game and removing the plugin, this will fix your own stats. But NPCs who you encountered in the past will retain their bonus resistances. New NPCs you encounter will behave as normal, and only the save games it was active on will be effected.
