Inheritance is composite mod. It is fight-quest mod, player house mod, NPC's with jobs and unique landscapes mod. You will get beside action and quite huge property landscape reshape of area in-between Lake Rumare (Weye Inn Bank) and Fort Nikel. In terms of size think of it as something quite akin to official expansion packs. Being made for different tastes it is multi layered and in use a bit of proverbial Beauty and The Beast.

Beauty part one is Weye Vineyard hilly plot of cultivated vineyards together with big hunting lodge. Second beauty is unique lake island with Classical Imperial Villa, Imperial thermal spa, servants, Praetorian Guards, loads of pristine natural tranquillity and view of lake Rumare to die for.

But to spice these idyllic settings a little I have added a bit of Beast - quest for right of ownership as well. To achieve it your character will need to to exterminate numerous undead denizens of near-by Orinval Mar - old High Ayleid Royal Necropolis.

All normal human estates are fully furnished and filled with friendly workers, servants and guards. Fun part is that they all have jobs and normal lives. Some of them are merchants and personal trainers as well. Almost all standard game trade wares and services are there on offer. Once you are finished with undead you can lay claim on Orinval Mar as well. Quite naturally these Ayleid ruins might not be everyone's idea of pleasant Home/ fun playground but if you are Necromancer, Lich, Zombie or Vampire these vast underground halls of timeless beauty can prove to be quite nice and cosy bachelors pad.

Story:

You are informed that some valuable Royal estates were left to you as gift by Late Emperor Uriel Septim presumably for your previous services to crown but full execution of his will has one conditional clause - all estates will be fully yours once Orinval Mar is cleansed of all undead. Until such time you are more then welcome to use them as respected and favoured guest but not as yet as owner. You can do that on your own or with your entire party.

Orinval Mar is mystery. Very near IC and under Weye this semi-mythical and allegedly High Ayleid Royal Tomb has never been entered by anyone since it was sealed aeons ago. Nobody really knows how to enter it as only known door has resisted all magical and brute force attempts to unlock it. What fabulous riches have been deposited in its dark bowels or what unspeakable horrors still lurk there is unknown. This will be up to you to find out.

Note:

Clean-up of Orinval Mar in practical terms is not something you must do immediately so even low level characters can enjoy all benefits of Mermaid Island and Weye vineyard while building / acquiring experience for their character. Take your time and tackle Orinval Mar only when you feel ready for it. In meantime explore everything else on offer as there is much more there then it meets eye at first glance.

Ownership of these prestigious Royal estates is not automatic and it will not make you new Emperor but this is probably closest you will ever come to being one. But do no despair about it, if you prove yourself successful in Orinval Mar your days of being poor, homeless Cyrodiil adventurer might come to abrupt but surprisingly very cushy end. ;)

You can do whatever you like in properties for as log as you like as dungeon clean up is not mandatory or connected to some conditional countdown but if you eventually make decision to try it read this carefully:

For success in Orinval Mar quest you'll need to prepare yourself extremely well as it seems that light of welkynd stones has significant effect on dead namely they do not stay dead if bathed in this light for long periods. More welkynd light translates into more walking undead and Royal Orinval Mar was one very bright dungeon for very long time. ;)

All Undead there are levelled which means they are tough at any level but on the bright side they are non-re-spawning. What you kill there stays that way for good. Foolish bravado and headlong rush-in without any care or valid strategy will serve no another purpose then to get you killed very quickly.

Remember that these undead were once feared and well respected Warriors Elite Caste. They were Best of the Best of Ayleid Empire Prime.

Small Hint: Dead sometimes sleep with fishes. ;)

Installation:

Extract, drag n' drop or copy/paste all files into your Oblivion game folder. When you are asked to overwrite files under meshes and textures, select 'yes to all'. Activate Dalls_Inheritance.esp mod plug-in to get it into game. Load order should not be of any importance but if you encounter some problems / conflicts with this mod active try to load it last.

Very important for old and new users:

Prior to activation you need to make clean backup save INSIDE IC or any other city / city walls! Activate and start using this mod only from that save! This is very important as activation of any terrain / landscape changing mod like mine gets written to your saves permanently thus your game character must not be in vicinity of this changes / changed landscape! If you choose to ignore this warning irreparable visual oddities might start to emerge in all your latter game saves. This doesn't apply just to this specific mod but to all other mods that change data or anything written in original Oblivion master file..

Thus make clean save inside some city walls > activate mod and start game from there / that save.

Incompatibility:

Some features of this mod are based on two other older mods which I have liked a lot and had in my own game as permanent features for long time. Unfortunately as they are using same World locations they are now incompatible with this mod. These mods are Weye Manor by vlad23 and Uriel Tower by Morsepone7 (M7) which can be found at:

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12093
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12164

I am not aware of any other incompatibilities but any mod that uses same (Game World) locations probably will cause some conflict. Rule of the thumb say's that last mod in (mod) load order usually wins conflict over.

Only original Oblivion resources were used throughout in order to seamlessly integrate into any game regardless of expansion packs or overhaul mods used.

If you find/have some new problems / bugs with this update let me know.

Note on v1.5 Bonus_Horse_Pack: This is something I always wanted to add as bonus for faithful users ;) but somehow for various reasons never did. It comes in two flavours one for all of you who have Bethesda's Horse Armor Plug-in and one for all others which do not. Horse Armor version gives you six horses three with armor while No Armor version will give you only remaining three horses without any armor. These horses are same-stable siblings of my stand alone mod horses Stallion, Dark Crusader and Black Horse - Demon which means they are fierce, very strong and very fast. Oh yeah they are very beautiful, have different saddles some from my Horse Saddle Accessories mod while Horse Armors Used are from my Horse Armors and Black Crusaded Horse stand - alone mods. Quite naturally all these horses and their gear belong now to you. ;)

Install last after normal v1.5. If you have already installed that update (v1.5) just go to IC (again) >save there > install Horses pack and start/go back to game from that save. Nothing else is needed.

Note for v1.5: for this update original plug-in has been completely dissected and almost 2/3rd of its content have been written to mod esp anew. It is stable version and hopefully I have managed finally to clean it up of all previous pestering glitches and oddities.

This version is mostly service update but some refinements to trade and new sale items were added while training courses on offer are more diversified now. All interior lights/light levels were redone - toned down to make whole mod more HDR friendly. Rest of content should be more or less same as it was before.

Note for users of any older / previous version:

As quite few things were changed including some containers and chests if you have been using for storage any of containers supplied in my previous versions collect all your stuff from Mermaid Island and Weye Vineyard and make clean save somewhere else inside as directed above. Collect your stuff > Make save > Install update and then go back when convenient. There is no need for you to do anything else. Successful Orinval Mar clean up and stuff you might have left there should not be affected in any way with this update but go in again and check Royal Tomb (at very end) as there is one new important item there. You will need it. ;)
.

Use:

Use it as you like without need to contact me for permission but due credit is expected.

Enjoy! ;)
