Description
===========
Adds cumulative alchemy skill bonuses if you have an hourglass or weight and scales in your inventory.

Details
=======
This is a simple mod that checks to see if you have an hourglass and/or scales and a weight in your inventory and increases your alchemy skill accordingly.

Hourglass: Alchemy +3
Scales & Weight: Alchemy +5

Your total possible bonus is Alchemy +8

Note that this will only work with vanilla items. An OBSE version is planned that will recognize variants added by other mods- such as the fine versions in OOO.

At Home Alchemy version: to pick up scales/weight/hourglass you need to be in sneak mode. Place the items whereever you wish & activate them for the bonus. If you leave them in your "alchemy lab" you should receive the bonus anytime you get close to them.

Install
=======
1. Extract the files to a temporary location.
2. Examine the folder structure and make corrections where necessary.
3. Copy files to (install folder)\Oblivion\Data\
4. Start Oblivion Launcher, click 'Data Files', place a checkmark beside the .esp file(s).

Alertnatively copy the ESP file from the "alternative versions" folder for "At Home Alchemy" compatability. Be sure to load it after other mods that might change the hourglass, weight and scales.

Uninstall
=========
1. MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT carrying any hourglasses, weights or scales and save your game!!!
(AHA version - make sure you are not standing next to your scales or hourglass, you will get a message when you are far enough away)
2. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, uncheck the .esp file.
3. Delete the files associated with the mod.

Step 1 is critical. Due to bizarre limitations in how the game engine handles alchemy bonuses (or rather ignores them) I've had to force the alchemy bonuses directly. If you remove the mod while the bonuses are still in place they will become permanent.

Really, this isn't rocket science. While I'd prefer that you tell me if you want to include this mod in another one or extend it in some way, you can do whatever you like with it. Credit would be nice but a monkey could write these scripts and saying "Hey, those are MY scripts!" seems foolish. If you do use it, though, you must also credit the other folks who have helped make this mod.
