Crown Jewels Part 1 of the Better Treasure and Objects of Desire Series a Modder\'s resource.

Permissions and credits
Oct 29 2008, added an esp file by request which places the items at the feet of the statue across from the staff shop in ICMD. Only the scepter has been enchanted, with Banishment. I couldn't resist. Crowns have been set to tail slot. If there are not 10 items there, something may have fallen through. Turn clipping off and retrieve. (~ tcl enter)

Description

This is a modder's resource and there is no .esp file. With this mod I have created royal themed items for Oblivion. They were made with thievery in mind. My hope is that they will be released in a proper mod. In this version there are 10 items, 3 daggers, 3 crowns, 1 goblets, 1 chalice, 1 necklace, and 1 sceptre. (I had the 'banishment' enchantment on the scepter, it just seemed fitting) Each item is a custom mesh with the exception of the gems encrusting them. Those are stock materials. These items are not perfect by any means, but they are the best they can be with my limited knowledge. I have been modding for about 5 months or so, but I think I am improving with each attempt.

The texture is pixelated when your close up, but I will work on getting a high rez texture soon. The crowns are bone weighted, and can be worn, but they do clip the hair and the head a bit, but as I said, I made these items as a resource for thief mods. If someone wants to alter these and make them more appealing to wear, feel free. As with any Oblivion mesh I make, you can take for granted that it is a resource and can be used in any way Bethesda allows. I only ask for two things in this case. First, try to maintain the file structure as it is, so that there are no future conflicts, as I do intend to make a mod out of these items myself. Secondly don't forget to give credit.

There is no esp file with this archive, but all the meshes and textures are there including a lighter color gold texture for some of the items, for people that don't like their gold this dark.

Installation

Installing this mod means copying the meshes and textures folders to your Oblivion data folder like any other mod. Then opening the CS and adding the items where ever you like and as many as you like. Save when done and name your new esp file. Once more I ask please keep the file structure the way it is.

If you feel strongly that the file structure needs to change, please contact me, and if I agree, I will adjust mine accordingly for future releases. Thank you very much.
