Anoriel's Crossroads Manor, v1.2 Readme
An Oblivion house mod created by Anoriel.

**Requires COBL and Shivering Isles**

"Help, Anoriel! What do I download?"

If you've never downloaded Crossroads before, download 1.2 Full.

If you have downloaded it before, download either of the patches, depending on if you want collision over your library books or not.

If you've never downloaded Crossroads but don't want collision over your books, first download and install Full, and then download the No Library Collision patch. Pull the esp from the patch folder and replace the original Crossroads esp with that one.

Patch and Changelog
Included is the 1.2 patch for Crossroads Manor. The original readme is included below. These issues area addressed in the patch:

Exterior pathnoding tweaked
Fixed Northmarkers

1.1 Patch Changelog
Fixing a door in the Guest Lodging area
Fixing one clipping plant
Made desk in the West Wing nonrespawning storage
Complete inventory of respawning containers
Invisible fox is now visible
Chest added for armory tools
Added chest for Sigil/Varla/Welkynd Stones
I put the same picture in the Master Suite bedroom twice. Whoops! Now fixed.
Issue noted- When saving in the West Wing area, the books in the library will bounce around behind the collision boxes. This seems to be a problem with Oblivion?s havok in general. There is a companion patch to this one-No Library Collision-which you may download if you don?t like the collision boxes over the library books. However, it is likely that this problem will remain.

Installation of the Patch
Unzip to your desktop. Open the Anoriel?s Crossroads Manor 1.1 folder, and drop Meshes, the esp, and this readme in your Oblivion/Data folder. When asked to overwrite, click Yes to All. The Meshes folder solves the invisible fox issue, the esp is just upgraded to reflect the door, etc, changes. Check Anoriel?s Crossroads Manor 1.1 in your Oblivion launcher. To uninstall, follow the directions in the original readme below, as well as deleting fox.nif from Meshes/Creatures/Dog.

Installation:
Unzip the compressed file to your desktop. There will be an Anoriel's Crossroads Manor folder. Open this folder, and drop the Meshes, Textures, and .esp into your Oblivion/Data folder. Everything will go where it's supposed to. Use the Archive Invalidation tool in Oblivion Mod Manager or another utility before playing. Check Anoriel's Crossroads Manor in your Oblivion launch menu, under Data Files. For uninstall, delete Oblivion/Data/Meshes/Anoriel, Oblivion/Data/Textures/Anoriel, Anoriel'sCrossroadsManor.esp, and this readme.

Usage:
You use this file as is. I am not responsible for any damage as a result of using this modification. Do NOT reupload this mod to other sites, as I need to keep track of it to do updates if required. If you have downloaded this from anywhere other than TESNexus, Modcraft.net, or Oblivion's Real Estate, it may not be the latest version, and you should delete this file and re-download it from one of the specified sites.

Requirements:
This mod requires the Shivering Isles expansion, the latest official Oblivion patch, and COBL. I run Oblivion on 756 MB of memory, and have had little to no FPS drop, so you should be doing even better!

Location: Directly off the main road east of Skingrad, near the Skingrad Oblivion gate and the Derelict Mine. If you pass an Ayleid well, you?ve gone too far. If the mod is correctly installed, you should get a map marker.

Entrance Hall:
This is the public area of Crossroads Manor. There is a small lounge, manor desk, banquet table, and banquet food buffet. On the top floor there is Guest Lodging for your companions. The chests in each of the bedrooms are safe storage for their things. Near the couches you will find COBL?s Luggage if you have it enabled. There is a second house key on the desk if you wish to give it to your companion.

West Wing:
This is the PC's work wing. Downstairs is an office with these containers non respawning-Keys, House Receipts, Notes, and Journals. There is a hidden wall safe located by the stairs. On the mid level is a library. The library?s books are a special feature-they are shielded against being knocked off of the shelves by collision boxes. What this means is that if you wish to take a book, you cannot use the z key to grab it. You must read the book and select ?Take?. However, there will be no way to return the book to the shelf unless you use the console command ~tcl after clicking on the book. The third floor is a mages' tower, featuring enchanting and spellmaking altars, alchemy storage, an alchemy set, and an extensive alchemy garden with ingredients from Oblivion, Shivering Isles, and the Oblivion realm. Non respawning containers for: Scrolls, Gems, Soul Gems, Potions, and Poisons.

East Wing:
This is the PC's living wing. Downstairs you will find your dining area. The top floor consists of a bedroom, dressing area, and bathroom. In the dressing area, all storage is safe and designed for clothes, robes, and shoes. Amulet and Rings jewelry boxes are also non respawning. Upstairs on the hall table you will find COBL?s Luggage if you have it enabled. The Food and Drinks cupboard is respawning.

Garden Tower:
Your staff lives on the top floor. The basement of the garden tower is an Ayleid pool room and shower. There is a lounge and display area inside. Octavia Artoria will sell you potions, ingredients, food, and clutter. She travels to Skingrad every day to obtain supplies. Gaston will repair your armor and weapons, and recharge them as well (for a price). He will stay in Crossroads Manor.

Basement:
In the basement you will find the Kitchen and Armory. The Armory has nonrespawning chests for each type of weapon and armor. The Repair Hammer chest and Arrow Urn do respawn to keep you supplied. In the Kitchen, everything is respawning to keep you and the staff fed. There is also a rock garden in the basement to harvest ore.

Secrets:
Dark Brotherhood members should examine the spaces behind tapestries very carefully. Did you accidentally give Martin Azura's Star? I did, too. Look around the Mage's Tower for a replacement. Can't get into the Manor? Check the rocks in the vicinity carefully.

Respawning Containers:
All containers have been carefully placed to not lose your stuff. This is a good general rule-if a container is named, as in ?Amulets? or ?Storage Chest?, it is safe. The only exceptions to this are as follows: In the basement, the Arrow Urn, Cured Meat, Beer Barrel, and Lockpicks containers do respawn. The Gold container in the PC office also respawns. There is a barrel of poisoned apples in the secret area of the house that also respawns. The Shower Supplies cabinet and the Food and Drink cabinets respawn as well. If there is a named container with stuff inside, it will likely give you more stuff over time. If you have any doubts about whether a container is safe, it is best to either open the mod in the CS and check for yourself, or ask me and I will look for you.

Conflicts and Compatibility:
If you are doing the Aid for Bruma part of the Main Quest, your Oblivion gate will look slightly different from default. I have removed the smoke activator from the gate to keep the views of Skingrad and Kvatch. This should not conflict at all with the quest.

This mod will conflict with any mod that alters the Tamriel cells SkingradOblivionGate, 12,1, or 12,2.

Grumbling:
"Hey! This mod doesn?t look like the screenshots!"
I am using some texture replacers in my game. To get the same look (and the most out of Crossroads Manor) I recommend Oblivion Book Jackets, Better Wine and Potion Bottles, Original Darker Night Sky, and Cities Alive at Night. The last two will give you absolutely stunning night views.

"Hey! I can't put these books back in the library/I don't like the way you placed them and I can't fix it/etc."
Use the No Library Collision esp. Although the Manor has been carefully pathnoded so the servants don't knock the books over, a clumsy companion or PC can do this, resulting in an epic mess.

?Hey! This mod is overpowering/there?s too much cool stuff/help.?
I made this mod for my Level 46 character who?s done everything in the game. Exercise self control, and it won?t be overpowering.

?Hey! I can?t find the key!?
My reasoning: It?s a perfectly free house. Do some searching.
Tips: Look near the front door. Lower?.lower?
Answer: Near the front door, two bushes flank the porch. Facing the house, the one on your left has the hollowed out rock under it containing the key.
