UFF (UNOFFICIAL) ORIGINAL CLOTHING FOR "FANTASY FIGURES" FEMALE MODEL

BEFORE DOWNLOADING THIS MOD FOR OBLIVION PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

Although there is no intentional nudity in this Plug-in modification it is designed to be used with highly detailed third-party human-like "Team Final Fantasy" models and it is possible with little effort to expose the player character and dead non-player characters although only though user action. Discretion should be used and please bear in mind that Oblivion is intended for adults.

WARNING:
If you tend to suffer a physical, mental or emotional affiction at the sight of a naked or partially naked female human body then please do not risk making matters worse by downloading this plug-in modification for Oblivion. It is inevitable that there will be occasions when this could be the case while selecting and changing your female player character's clothing.

ABOUT THE MODIFICATION:
INTRODUCTION
This mod is intended for people to have fun changing out their female player character's clothing for nice modern outfits and to watch the small NPC community at the settlement where the shops are located wearing and changing their clothing during their daily lives. As a novelty, your Player Character can dance to music along with the settlement residents at the local tavern each night.

Additionally, if you choose (entirely optional), you can have many of Cyrodiil's female NPC's wearing the new clothes too and if you have moderate skill with the Construction Set (CS) you can dress many of the female NPC's with clothing of your choice, rather than mine, from this mod by amending an optional ESP included for this purpose.

The meshes used are of a simliar style to those used on Eshme and BAB body mod's using layered clothing where appropriate for underwear and outer garments. The clothing contained in this modification is all original and made on brand new meshes by JClyde6108. The entire boot range is based on meshes adapted from Eshme's originals and although there are many new textures made by me they are all based on those found in Eshme's female body mod V3.

SETTLEMENT & RESIDENTS
There is a new settlement in Cyrodiil called Tanduff (T & UFF) with five buildings and situated in a formerly remote and barren region on the coast north-west of Anvil. It contains two houses, a tavern and two shops, one of which sells clothing and the other sells boots. The settlement is accessed using a wooden bridge and is picturesque with many trees, bushes, plants and a small beach. All the original rocks remain. There are six residents leading simple lives that includes work (for some) swimming and dancing but whose real function in the mod is to demonstrate some of the clothing and boots that are available for the player to buy at around average Cyrodiil prices. There is one male resident and, most importantly, five TFF female residents. They all change clothes regularly depending on what they are doing and thereby increasing the amount of clothing and footwear seen by the player.

You may or may not find some interest in watching the residents. When the weather is suitable some will go to the beach, change into swimsuits and swim. If the weather is unsuitable they will leave and wander the settlement making another small in clothing change if it rains. Breakfast, lunch and tea are always indoors. At night it's tavern time where they often eat, converse and later dance to music to which the player can join in. See "DANCING & MUSIC" for how to do it, it's a variation on how to view your characters new clothes and boots and take screenies.

All buildings are fully accessible to the player at all times. There is no trespassing. This allows night clothes and some underwear to be viewed. If you awaken an NPC she will arise from bed, the house lights will go on. She will dress then talk to you before getting back into her nightdress, lights out and sleeping again.

WEATHER:
The small area of the settlement has its own weather system to cut down on the amount of rain and thunder which seemed endless during development of the mod. As with all regions in Cyrodiil the weather transition from region to region is gradual.

SHOPS & PLAYER'S ROOM:
The shops are fully stocked only with the new clothes and boots. There is a large selection. Should the player want to buy and keep some of the many items locally there is a free room available in the tavern with a bed and empty cupboard for storage. After first visit to the settlement fast travel is possible.

DANCING & MUSIC:
This feature is trying to make the best of limited functionality in Oblivion. To get the Player Character to dance you must use "Vanity mode" or it is pointless because you will not see your character dancing. You can only dance in the tavern when the music starts at 10 PM every night. At this time and until midnight, a small metallic ring will appear in the tavern floor. Select "Vanity mode" then walk over to the ring. When in the ring, wait for Radiant AI to trigger the animation (can take 10 seconds approximately) and your player character will start dancing along with the residents whom, if not in conversation, already reliably started dancing within 2 seconds of the music starting.

When you want to stop dancing, you need to momentarily select another animation. Do this by selecting to show your fists (you don't need a weapon to dance, it's not the sword dance) then deselect again. If you then stay inside the ring you will start dancing again after a pause. At midnight you will continue to dance after everyone has gone home until you use the stop dancing procedure as explained. Do everything in "Vanity mode" then return to normal view. Practice a few times and it is becoming very easy.

The music is actually provided by a sound "wav" and not an "MP3" file due to the inflexibility of Oblivion's music system. Oblivion's original music is undisturbed and the dance music is only heard in the tavern. If you do not like the music you can change it by converting something you do like into a 16 bit, stereo wave file, naming it "MyDanceSound.wav" and inserting in your Oblivion/Data folder with the following path:

Oblivion/Data/sound/fx/Entertainment/MyDanceSound.wav

You will also need to copy the included "ArchiveInvalidation.txt" file provided for it to work. Place it in your "Oblivion" folder. If you are already using an "ArchiveInvalidation.txt" file then simply copy the following line and paste it into your own file as a seperate line.

sound/fx/Entertainment/MyDanceSound.wav

If you are happy with the music provided do not use the "ArchiveInvalidation.txt" file nor the additional line unless you want silence.

I have used this work-around "music" system for about 18 months, tried it on a few PC's and it is OK. The "wav" is quite loud because I know of no way to stop Oblivion music that would not be to the game's detriment, but it is good with the music volume at one third or even half setting.

THE FILES:
MAIN FILES:
There are three main files, one BSA file and two ESP files. The BSA file will always be required along with one of the ESP files. The two ESP files cater for users of Bethesda's original Male body mesh and the second ESP file is for users of Robert's male body mesh. The two ESP files are clearly named therefore choose only the appropriate file depending on which male body mesh you use. Robert's Male Body version is identical except for a small clothing alteration concerning the single, new, male NPC in this mod.

ADDITIONAL FILES:
Includes this file, an "ArchiveInvalidation.txt" as already mentioned, screen shots and an optional, third plug-in ESP file. It is an ESP I made for testing the clothes and footwear in the mod. It does one thing. It clothes many of the female NPC's in Cyrodiil with clothes from the mod. New clothing substituted the original clothing only. No armour was changed although some NPC's have both and therefore got some new clothes too. Please remember that this was primarily a test ESP and the clothes selection per NPC may not always be to your liking and not always necessarily to mine either but the main objective was to test although I did avoid putting short dresses onto older NPC's.

TIPS:
Experiment with the clothes to find the matches you like. In general, if trying seperate Tops and skirts use the combined lowerbody underwear and boots. If on the otherhand you try the dresses you can do the same or alternatively, to increase variation, use seperate lowerbody underwear and boots. Some mixing of old and new was also seen to work and there are some examples in the additional ESP (look for Earana in Chorrol, Methredhel and Carwen in IC and at the Waterfront).

MAKE YOUR OWN ESP FOR CLOTHING CYRODIIL's FEMALE NPC's:
Firstly, keep back-ups.
Secondly, I did not dress Dremora, Orc's, Argonians nor Khajiit, but you can dress them if you wish.

If do you want to make your own ESP for clothing Cyrodiil's residents to your own taste I suggest using the "tanduff - cyrodiil.esp" ESP as your base (in other words, modify it rather than starting from scratch) because it is already set to use "tanduff.bsa" without conficting with this mod's main ESP, "tanduff.esp".

All you need to do in the CS is take each female NPC in turn (already marked with an (*) asterisk beside her name) look at what I have clothed her with, decide on a more appropriate change from the CS "clothes/ut" section, delete the clothes I have given the NPC and copy over your own selection. All the clothing and footware for the NPC's is prefixed "CUT" for easy identification.

You can also dress some NPC's that I did not do but be careful because some only have armour and should not be altered. In general, although I have left a few unaltered that could be changed, stick to the NPC's with asterisks. Some NPC's use more than one model to play their full role in the game and it will look strange if they appear with mismatched clothing.

Also be careful with merchants who buy and sell clothes. Always try to ensure they have three items and not two (clothing and footwear combined). In particular I am refering to the lowerbody section which does not necessarily need a lowerbody garment if a dress is chosen. If you ensure these merchants always have three items (upperbody, lowerbody and footwear) then this will avoid them wearing any lowerbody clothing, for a short time, on top of what you have assigned them if they buy a lowerbody garment from you.

If you want to redistribute your ESP rename it to some thing like "Tanduff - yourname.esp" and remember it will not work without the BSA and one of the main ESP's neither of which should be redistributed therefore state them as a requirement in your "readme" file.

REQUIREMENTS:
Oblivion with or without Shivering Isles and "TeamFF - Fantasy Figures - Races - Base Version v0.51 Beta".

INSTALLATION:
Select your two files (depending on whether or not you use Robert's male body mesh) plus the optional file too if you want and copy them into your Oblivion/Data/ folder.

Example - "Tanduff.esp or TanduffRobert.esp", "Tanduff.bsa" and optionally "Tanduff - Cyrodiil.esp".

IMPORTANT - If you do use Robert's male body then after you copy the appropriate ESP to the Oblivion data folder delete "Robert" from the file name thereby renaming it to "Tanduff.esp". This will avoid having NPC's with invisible bodies.

That's all there is to the installation.

FILE REMOVAL:
If you decide you no longer want this mod then select only the files you installed and delete them.

CREDITS:
Bethesda - for making Oblivion and giving us the Construction Set
Eshme - who made the first models I ever used and still do in my Azuria mod in development. I have used ideas in this mod that I first saw her use well over a year ago.
Alleane & Korana - whom I believe made some of the original footwear textures from which I made more.
BIU - for contribution towards the development of the meshes by JClyde.
Team TFF - for producing such an excellent female body mesh. It's one that I have always wanted to include in my Azuria mod but could not due to lack of clothing of the type I like.
WFL/Social Engine for allowing use of his original music for Oblivion "OBLIVION INDUSTRIAL COMBAT MUSIC" from which the included music track is derived, unaltered but converted to wave. Visit his website here: http://sound.the-engine.org/
Keter Sephiroth - I have used two of his animations to improve this modification. His animations contribute immensely to what can be done making plug-ins for Oblivion. Thankyou Keter.
Robert - for making an exceptional set of male body meshes and textures. It needs someone to make layered clothing meshes for it too.
JClyde6108 - a special thankyou to JC for making some very nice clothing and footwear meshes (the latter from Eshme's originals) and allowing me to use them. If you like this mod then look out for his coming mod for TFF which allows the use of all the BAB clothing, Armour and footwear. It will be a real treat for TFF users.
Canadian Ice Forum - thankyou to the people that took the time to comment on the mod during development. Those comments were constructive, encouraging and always contributed to improving the mod.
Makers of the following tools which were all used on Windows XP to make the mod:
ATI The Compressonator, DXTBmp, Paint Shop Pro X & Nvidia DDS plug-ins, Nifskope, TESsnip, BSA Commander & File Date Changer.

KNOWN BUG & INCOMPATIBILITY:
Clothing and footwear icons work well only in "Large" texture mode. In "Medium" and "Small" they are corrupted and so far I have been unable to discover why despite making them in accordance with Bethesda's format and trying to seeking help. In any case, particularly in "Small" mode, nothing in Oblivion looks as nice as it deserves.

This mod will be incompatible with any mod that uses the same small area of land in Cyrodiil and any female body mesh other the TFF.

USAGE:
All clothing textures are original and made by me. Like-wise for most of the boots but a few are not. All the scripting is mine. For the stuff that is mine use as you wish, permission is unnecessary but you will need to unpack the BSA file to get at most things. For the textures, meshes, animations and sound that I did not make you will need to seek permission and at least to credit the above mentioned people who contibuted or had a hand in the development of this mod in some way.

If there is anything you need to know specifically, PM me (Ian) at Canadian Ice forum. If of general interest post there or here at TesNexus. I will help if it is reasonably practicable and will try to correct any errors that I missed but will treat all uninformed complaints as spam.

DOWNLOAD THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.......... but I do hope you enjoy it.
