About this mod

This plugin adds a castle near by the Yellow Road to the south-east of Imperial City. Lord Calain, from Daggerfall established Knights of Calair in Cyrodiil. While he seeks the avenge of his father, he and his knights has their castle built here.

This plugin adds a castle near by the Yellow Road to the south-east of Imperial City.

Lord Calain, from Daggerfall established Knights of Calair in Cyrodiil. While he seeks the avenge of his father, he and his knights has their castle built here.

When you start the game with the mod enabled, a quest, "Knights of Calair" pops up. At first, you start the quest, as a guard in the castle. You have your room in the castle barracks. In order to be the lord and owner of the castle, you need to be:

- Level 10
OR
-Swordsman in Fighter's Guild
OR
-Evoker in Mages Guild
OR
-Eliminator in Dark Brotherhood
OR
-Prowler in Thieves Guild

When you meet one of the conditions above, you become the owner of the castle. If you are already one of those, one week later after you become a guard, the quest will update.


In the castle:
-Great Hall: Throne room, castle guards' quarter, a small alchemy garden and a secret escape tunnelleading out of castle.
-Lord's Quarters: Library, study, dining, sleeping and storage areas. In day time, Mailena is at yourservice to bring you something to eat or drink.
-Private Quarters: Castle magician and your steward lives here. There is a guest room too. Magiciansells/buys spells and recharge your items.
-Treasury room: It is more like a display room. It has a beautiful pool in the center. There are lotsof display cases for your trophies and 2 storage areas.
-Dining Hall
-Livig Quarters: Living area for your maid and the alchemist. The alchemist sells ingredients and teaches alchemy.
-Basement: There is a kitchen and a cook who sells food and drinks. The warehouse keeper and 2 servants live here.
-Castle Undercroft: To mourn those died for the sake of the castle :)

In the garden:
-Chapel: There is a chapel priest who teaches restoration.
-Blacksmith: For repairing your items
-Barracks: Living area for the castle guards. Your room is here at the beginning of the quest.
-Stable



There are 20 NPCs living in the castle. It is a peaceful area and has a beautiful scene. All the containers in Lord's Quarters and in Treasury room are safe for storage. Also all the containers in your room in the castle barracks don't respawn.


P.S: For those who want to skip the quest and just want the key, press the console button and write; "setstage calaircaptain 25" and then go speak to Captain Vonius.

Issues/Conflicts:

-The great hall looks like the one from The Battlehorn Castle Offical Plugin. That was my intention because I like it. It isn't too big or complex and kinda cosy. Also I didn't heavily decorated the castle because I wanted to save some fps.
-There are no conflicts known. The mod changes the cells: "wilderness 20,5" "wilderness 19,4" and "wilderness 20,4". Plugins that change these exteriors will possibly conflict with this.

Install:
UnZip files into your "Oblivion\Data\" directory. When you run Oblivion, click on Data Files, then check CalairCastle.esp and run the game.

v0.9 : Made the castle garden smaller.It was a bit large and i didn't like it.
