Name: Little Black Dress
Version: 1b

Description
===========

Adds a Little Black Dress for Exnem’s body mesh to, where else, Divine Elegance in the Imperial City Market District.

This is my first mod release but not my first mod. That being said, it has only been tested on my own computer, so this is an initial BETA release. Please let me know if there are any problems, inconsistencies, etc.

Details
=======

This dress mesh is inspired by Growlf’s Black Gown, but rather than adapting Growlf’s meshes to the Exnem body, I created it from scratch using Growlf’s as a visual guide.

Most likely the dress will work only with Exnem’s Female EyeCandy Body Replacer (Nude).

I also use Koks’ “Real Female Body for EyeCandy Imperial Race v1 Full” as my basic female skin texture. The mesh references this texture. Koks’ texture replacer UV map is contained in the footfemale.dds file and the mesh points to this as the skin source. Other female texture replacing mods that utilize the “footfemale.dds” texture as the whole body UV map will work with this mod. There may be (almost certainly will be) oddities in skin tone where a texture replacer not keyed to the female foot is used. If I remember correctly, Exnem’s original textures are also keyed to this slot so things should work fine.

Meshes created in Blender v. 2.45
Textures created as texture bakes from Blender then manipulated in the Gimp v. 2.0, and to some extent Paintshop Pro v.7.0

Known Issues
============

For some reason, the dress menu icon does not show up in the Divine Elegance inventory. The dress is there, just without an icon. As soon as the dress is purchased, the icon does show up in the player inventory menu with proper transparency.

I have worked to eliminate as much clipping as possible, however, some remains in more extended movement and/or poses. This will be addressed in the next subsequent release.

The dress is skin-tight so boots are neither terribly practical nor attractive when worn at the same time. However the pumps and sandals available at Apachii’s Goddess Store work very well, as do Peka’s Pumps converted from the Bab body to the Exnem body.

Fishnet stockings also available at the Goddess Store, while not terribly visible, complete the outfit, with one exception: those with garter belts show some clipping due to the skintight nature of the dress.

Requirements
============

Exnem Female EyeCandy - Body Replacer (Nude)
[not sure if it will look OK with the Underwear version]

Oblivion v. 1.2.0416 (via the Shivering Isles Patch)
[made with Knights of the Nine, Shivering Isles, and all official DLC mods installed as well as the Unofficial Oblivion Patch, and the Unoficial DLC mods Patch. However, no data from these additional sources were purposely used in the mod, so there should be no conflicts.]

Install
=======

Manual Method:
--------------

Extract the compressed files to a temporary directory and then place them in the Oblivion\Data directory, except for the “Screenshots” folder which is just that: in game screenshots of the dress in several poses

If you have Oblivion installed in the default location the Data directory is most likely here:
C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data

File structure (in case things go amiss):
Meshes: Oblivion\Data\meshes\clothes\skeuomorph
Textures: Oblivion\Data\textures\clothes\skeuomorph
Icons: Oblivion\Data\textures\menus\icons\skeuomorph

This mod does not replace or overwrite any existing content so choose “Yes” when asked if you wish to replace files.

OBMM Method (Oblivion Mod Manager):
-----------------------------------

Place the file SkeuomorphLBD.omod in the Mods directory within the directory structure of the OBMM installation. Open OBMM, load and then activate the omod file. There should be no conflicts.

Uninstallation
==============

Simply delete or otherwise remove all folders named skeumorph from these locations within the Oblivion directory hierarchy:

Meshes: Oblivion\Data\meshes\clothes\skeuomorph
Textures: Oblivion\Data\textures\clothes\skeuomorph
Icons: Oblivion\Data\textures\menus\icons\skeuomorph

As well as the SkeuomorphLBD.esp file in the Oblivion\Data directory

Future Updates
==============

I am working on different textures for this dress and a few shape variations of the mesh. I will update as soon as they are complete.

Credits and Thanks
==================

Exnem -- for the wonderful body mesh
Koks – for the high resolution textures
Growlf – for the original inspiration

And all those people working in the open source software realm, particularly Blender, the Gimp, and Nifskope

And of course Bethesda Softworks for creating Oblivion in the first place

Licensing/Legal
