This mod is a silly and simple mod that makes your character pat his/her horse more often. I've found that it's the only thing the character's do that is affectionate and I was really shocked when I first saw this animation. After that I waited to see when it would happen again so I could take a screenshot.
I waited and waited and waited....and still no love. ;) So, I decided to go into the TES Construction set and increase the likelihood of this animation.
In essence, this just makes your character pat his/her horse almost every time you mount. It also makes the other horses a bit more lively when they are standing around in the paddock. They are more likely to do things like graze or rest. The only thing that I've found (that can't be helped) is that it takes up to 20 seconds for the animation to play sometimes, and the horses will start their animations at the same time for the most part. I believe this is just how Oblivion works and I am not skilled enough to stagger the animations. If someone else knows how to do it, let me know.

Install
=======
1. Extract the zip file to a temporary location.
3. Copy esp to (install folder)\Oblivion\Data\
4. Start Oblivion Launcher, click 'Data Files', place a checkmark beside the .esp file(s).
Uninstall
=========
1. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, uncheck the .esp file(s).
Incompatibility
===============
There should not be any issues unless you have another mod that directly alters horse animations.
I use this with Slof's horses, Saddlebags, Faster Horse Turning and many others.
There are no issues.
Known Issues or Bugs
====================
I have had this in my game for a very long time...at least 6 months, and I have had no issues with it.
The sheer simplicity of it would make it difficult to mess up but use this at your own risk. I take no
responsibility for anything if you use this. ;)
