As per request of Arkngt, this mod was designed to remove the restriction that these crowns originally had and allow for mages to choose to wear a Non-Armor version of the crowns.

When you equip whichever crown, a prompt will appear asking whether you want to switch out your crown.

If the Player selects Yes, the crown will be switched with whatever version he doesn't have. Armor -> Non-Armor or Non-Armor -> Armor respectively. The switch may take a second or two, and will only occur if the player equips the crown in the Inventory menu. If assigned to a hotkey, the sequence shouldn't get triggered if the helmet is equiped using the key.

If the Player selects No, nothing will occur.

If the Player selects Remove Quest Item status, the quest item status for whatever crown the player has will be removed. This option is simply included for convenience, and perhaps to prevent a unseen bug or something.

Also, the quest associated with the crowns may not work right with the Non-Armor crowns, so just use the standard Armor versions when directly dealing with the quest. Shouldn't be a problem for those who have already finished the quest though.

Just put RD_LNCrowns.esp into the your Oblivion\Data directory. Activate the mod in your mod listing through whichever method you use and you should be good to go.

= Uninstallation =
==================

BIG NOTE: This mod adds duplicate versions of the Lindai and Nenalata Helmets. And as such, if you remove this mod while in possession of these crown versions, you will lose them. Thus losing the regular Crowns too.

To prevent this, before Uninstalling the mod be sure to convert the crowns back to their Normal Armor variant. That way when the mod is removed, the standard helmets will remain.

Other than that, just deselect the mod, and remove RD_LNCrowns.esp from your Oblivion\Data directory and your all good!

FINAL NOTE: I am now attempting to create mods that will be compatible with both Shivering Isles and Non-SI Oblivion, and as such have compiled two versions under the two different versions of the Oblivion.esm. I can't guarantee that they will work though, as I mainly make edits and mods with the SI Oblivion.esm and have little knowledge of the compatibility practice, but I can at least try. It didn't seem to cause any trouble so they should work though. Anyway, it's your choice which one you use, and there really shouldn't be any problems with using one or the other.

RD_LN_SI_Crowns.esp : Shivering Isles *1st - Normal one that I use, and also the one I consider standard.*
RD_LN_Crowns.esp : Non-SI Oblivion *2nd*

If you include/use this in anything, or wish to use edits or parts of my crappy scripts, a simple listing of my name in the credits is all I ask for. I hope this helps you in your game's future and in your modding future as well. If it can at least.
