========= REAL SLEEP V1.4 ============

Author: Dominic Watson, updated by Cipscis
Date: 2nd May, 2006
Description:If you don't sleep, you get tired!
Now with the added ability to remove
messages that pop up when you open the sleep menu.

========= FEATURES

Level of tiredness is unlimited (0=Awake -> inf=somewhat tired). So in theory, if you were a God, you wouldnt need to sleep.
When you view the stats menu, a message appears displaying how much sleep you need to be fully recovered.
When you get tired, messages appear to tell you that you need sleep. This can be turned off by opening the console (by pressing the “`” button next to the 1 on your keyboard), and typing “set RSShowMessage to 0” (without quotes).
All stats are effected by tiredness (Agility, Endurance, Strength, Willpower, Intelligence, Personality,Speed & Luck).
Health & fatigue are not directly effected but your max health and fatigue will diminish as your stats are drained.
For every 2 hours awake you need 1 hour asleep (to be fully awake). This works out at 8 hours a day.

========= UPDATE 1.3 -> 1.4

* Well and truly fixed the stat drain issue. For those interested in the bug reason, I was using the GameDay variable instead of the GameDaysPassed variable (GameDay being 0-6 for the days of the week, causing negative values for the time passed calculations and screwing things up.)

========= UPDATE 1.2 -> 1.3

* Fixed a possible cheat of the system. In previous versions, you could start sleeping, cancel out of it and still receive the sleep bonus.

========= UPDATE 1.1 -> 1.2

Hopefully fixed bug that prevents sleep adjustments from being calculated properly.
*A message telling you your sleep requirements now appears when you activate a bed and sleep menu (“How long do you wish to rest for?”),

========= UPDATE 1.0 -> 1.1

Fixed jail bug. In 1.0, if you'd been in Jail your sleep level was not adjusted properly causing possible instant death on getting out! In 1.1 you get out of jail needing 4 hours sleep to feel fully healthy again.

========= HOW IT WORKS, NUMBERS, ETC.

From the moment you wake up fresh as a daisy (Tiredness level 0), you have a certain number of hours awake before tiredness kicks in. I call this your tiredness threshold. Every character has a minimum threshold of 8 hours. In addition to that you get 10% (in hours) of your endurance level. So, if you had an Endurance level of 40 you would get 8 + (40/10) = 12 hours threshold.

After you have been awake longer than your threshold, you get a -1 hit to all of your stats for every hour you stay awake, simple as that.

When you sleep, you recover twice the hours you have been awake. So, you have a threshold of 12, and you have been awake 16 hours. At the moment all your stats are being drained by 4. If you sleep for 8 hours, you will be fully rested. If you sleep for 2 hours it will be as if you had been awake for 12 hours; your stats would no longer be drained but they will start being drained within the next hour.

Is that confusing?! I hope not. A summary:

Threshold = (Endurance / 10) + 8
Damage to stats = Hours awake - threshold
1 hour asleep recovers 2 hours of tiredness.

========= FROM THE AUTHOR

This is my first mod, I hope you like it. I am working on hunger and thirst but keeping them seperate for now to make updates easier.

Have fun

Dominic

========= FROM CIPSCIS

All I’ve done to this is added in the ability to turn off the messages that appear when you go to sleep, but I plan on making further changes in the future. Look out for the soon to be released version of Real Sleep with added immersive yawning sounds! (Courtesy of CptJoker of course!)
