All travelers in Cyrodiil now fear the night in the wilds. Lurking in the darkness are the nocturnal predators: the dreaded Hungers. Escaping from Sheogaroth’s realm through the Gateway, they now roam the Cyrodiilic countryside looking for victims to feast upon. First paralyzing their prey, they greedily devour all of their victims’ lifeforce. Only the strongest and bravest dare to venture from the safety of the cities at night.

This is a recreation of my Hungers mod for Morrowind and makes the Hungers in the game a creature to be feared. This mod is for those wishing for a more of a challenge as it will increase the difficulty of the game.

Hungers! does the following things:
*Changes the manner in which Hungers conduct their attack, making it more like their name implies. Hungers now have two new spells: Hunger’s Hold and Hunger’s Blood Feast. The first paralyzes and silences the Player for 30 seconds while cloaking the Hunger in a chameleon spell. This is power spell, so each Hunger will only cast it once against the Player. The second spell absorbs the Player’s health, fatigue, magicka strength, willpower, endurance, and ability making it so that the Hungers will be able to regain their health, fatigue and magicka at the expense of the Player. Hunger’s Blood Feast is a touch spell, so using ranged weapons and spells against Hungers is advised. Use of magicka resistance and/or dispel potions and/or spells will help reduce the damage done by this spell.
*Returns to the Oblivion Hungers the same abilities they had in Morrowind: they are immune to fire, frost, shock, poison and normal weapons. They, however, have a 33% weakness to magic, making absorb, drain and damage spells the mage’s weapon of choice against them.
*Changes Hungers so they are now very fast and sneaky. Changes to the Hungers’ attributes are as follows:
Speed increased to 75
Stealth increased to 80
*Adds Hungers to the Daedric faction:
*Adds Hungers to the following leveled lists:

All LL1ConjurerDaedra lists
All LL1DaedraBeast lists
All LL1Road lists
All LL1Wilderness lists

None of the SI leveled lists have been altered

*Hungers appear in the wilds of Tamriel only at night: between 8pm to 5am. They appear at all times in the Shivering Isles, near the Oblivion Gates and in the Oblivion realm. They also appear at all times in interior cells. Low level players are advised to avoid venturing outside the cities and villages at night. Run, do not fight a Hunger, unless you have companions or are a high level player. When the sun sets head to the nearest Inn if you are away from a nearby village or city, or find an Imperial Legion patrol and stick close by.
*Finally, Hungers will transform into a stronger form if they are able to absorb health beyond their base value. Example, if a Starved Hunger (base health of 40) is able to absorb health while at full health, it will die and be reborn as a Hunger (base health of 100). The newly transformed Hunger will have 10 points of health more than its previous base, in this case 50 points. The transformed hunger can then transform into the next form if it is able to absorb health beyond its new base value. In this example the new Hunger would have to absorb another 50 health points to achieve full health and if able to absorb a single point more it will then transform into a Gluttonous Hunger (base health of 200) with a health of 110. The cycle can be repeated until it reaches the final form: Voracious Hunger. Hungers will not transform if they can be kept from reaching full health regardless of how much health they are able to absorb. Also, the newly transformed Hunger regains its ability to cast Hunger’s Hold. All of which makes battling Hungers all the most interesting, and challenging. Summoned Hungers do not transform.

- The following changes are made in the Fran version of this mod -
*Changes the Fran Hungers so that they now use the Bethesda names, models and sounds, have the same inventory drops as the stock Hungers, and their stats, abilities and spells match the changes made to the stock Hungers.
*Renames the Hunger Elder to the Malicious Hunger. This Hunger is the most powerful of all the Hungers for this version, and is the final transformation form. The Malicious Hunger has been given its own re-textured model.
*Adds the Malicious Hunger to the SELL1Hunger lists

- The following changes are made in the OOO version of this mod -
*Changes the OOO Hungers so that they now use the Bethesda names, models and sounds, have the same inventory drops as the stock Hungers, and their stats, abilities and spells match the changes made to the stock Hungers.
*Adds a new intermediary form between the Starved Hunger and Hunger forms: Famished Hunger.
*Adds the Famished Hunger to the SELL1Hunger lists

- The following changes are made in the MMM versions of this mod -
*Changes the MMM Hungers so that they now use the Bethesda names, models and sounds, have the same inventory drops as the stock Hungers, and their stats, abilities and spells match the changes made to the stock Hungers. The MMM Hungers no longer damage armor and weapons.
*Renames the Black Hunger to the Rapacious Hunger. This Hunger is the most powerful of all the Hungers for these versions, and is the final transformation form. The Rapacious Hunger has been given its own re-texured model.
*Adds the Rapacious Hunger to the SELL1Hunger lists
**The MMM for Fran and MMM for OOO versions incorporate the changes made to the Fran and OOO Hunger versions.

Hungers! does NOT do the following:
*Add or remove any items or NPCs.
*Add any new quests.
*Make any changes to any of the interior or exterior cells.
*Changes any existing scripts.
*Corrupt your saves.

IV. Version Info

Version 1.1 – updates the MMM versions to work with MMM v3.1RC
– adds scripting to the Fran, OOO and MMM versions to insure that the hungers added by those mods only appear at night in Tamriel.
