Reduced LandscapeLOD Textures
Produced as part of The Oblivion Texture Overhaul project, these LandscapeLOD texture packs are separated into two groups:
BT - color maps from BTQ landscape Lods (Blade9722's LandscapeLODs based on Better Tiling Qarl project). The BT set includes 1024x1024 and 512x512 versions (Blade9722 already made 4096x4096 and 2048x2048 versions).
QN - normal maps from Qarl's LOD normals 4096 compressed (Qarl's LandscapeLOD normal maps). The QN set includes 2048x2048, 1024x1024, and 512x512 versions (Qarl only released the 4096x4096 version).
You can use the BT and QN versions together since since BT only alters the color maps and QN only alters the normal maps. Pick one of each.
These reduced versions will NOT have the same quality as the originals. If you're not worried about performance, you should use the originals instead of these.
Extensive screenshots, comparisons, and usage guidelines are on the TOTO Distant Landscape 1.2 page.
You can find the original mods here:

-Qarl 4096 LOD Normal Maps: | PES |
Recommendations
The point of these various reductions is to achieve an acceptable tradeoff of quality and performance compared to the currently available LandscapeLOD choices. You should probably start the selection process with the 1024 versions -- I think these are the best compromise -- but your mileage may vary.
You can use one set from the BT versions along with one set from the QN versions (BT only alters the color maps and QN only alters the normal maps).
Requirements
These reduced textures will probably NOT look good without Oblivion 1.2 and a radical noise filter such as Koldorn's Noise Replacer. I used Koldorn's Medium Noise to make the screenshots.
Installation
Download the packages you want to use, extract it to a temporary location and then
copy or move the included Textures folder into your \Oblivion\Data\ folder.
Be sure to use a reliable method of ArchiveInvalidation.
