1. The Quest:
It'a a big day for you, young mage. Raminus Polus has just instructed you to acquire some wood in order to make a Mage's Staff. He says "The wood used for staves comes from a grove to the northeast of the Imperial City, near Wellspring Cave. Several mages tend to the grove, and should be able to assist you. Speak with either Zahrasha or Eletta when you arrive. And choose wisely."

Soon after your arrival at the Wellspring cave, you discover a horrible tragedy. Answers are required and during the course of your "investigation" you uncover another mystery. This one, harkens back to the days of Galerion at the founding of the Mages Guild, and reveals a long forgotten secret.

2. Installation:
Install the "WellspringGrove.esp" file into the Oblivion\Data directory.

3. Running the Quest:
The "Mystery at Wellspring Grove" Quest requires starting the Mages Guild Quest "A Mage's Staff". Once Raminus Polus instructs you to acquire a stave, the Quest will run.

Since this is a quest, without any significant game alteration, I've decided to keep any spoiler information in the included WellspringSpoiler.txt file.

Additionally, there is a "hint book" named "A Mystery at Wellspring ( Grove )" which may be purchased from Phintias ( First Edition - Imperial City ) for a nominal amount. The book will track the quest and automatically update itself to provide the next needed clue. This is an optional purchase, as you don't need it to complete the quest. However, if you've completed the quest, without it, you should get the book, just to reveal the extra bonus features of the quest, which you would otherwise probably not discover. Chapter 1:
"A Mystery at Wellspring Grove" is an extension of the Mages Guild Quest - "A Mage's Staff". Once Raminus Polus (Arcane University) sends you out for wood for a staff, then "A Mystery at Wellspring Grove" may commence. When you find Zahrasha, be sure to read her copy of the Mages Guild Charter. Valuable clues are found inside.

4: Possible Conflicts:
Although no Oblivion scripts were altered, my script does adjust the Player Fatigue and Magicka values as an integral part of the quest. If Fatigue or Magicka values are used in a structurally different manner, as in the "Vim and Vigor" mod by "Kearsage", then either or both mods will play differently than intended.
