1. The Quest:
Imagine, if you will, a young Mage-Guild hopeful, being sent on a quest to the lonely ruin of Cloud Top. Those who know Cloud Top, also know it's secret, and what may be in store for that particular inexperienced Mage. This is a mini-quest which explores an additional series of discoveries, which may ultimately propel this Mage-Guild questor into Legend...
2. Installation:
Install the "Transmutation.esp" file into the Oblivion\Data directory.
3. Running the Quest:
The "Transmutation on the Mountain" Quest requires completion of the Mages Guild Quest "Fingers of the Mountain, Part II". Once you've received Earana's gift at Cloud Top, the Quest will run.
Since this is a quest, without any significant game alteration, I've decided to keep any spoiler information in the included TransmutationSpoiler.txt file.
Also included is the "TransmutationSpoiler Quest" which is part of the "Transmutation on the Mountain" Quest. The spoiler quest, once activated will track the Transmutation quest and provide the "next clue" that you may need in a scroll that will appear in your backpack. The "note" is named "Transmutation Spoiler" and provides information about the next piece of the quest. In case you'd like to have a "peek", only the next stage is revealed, so you won't see "too much".
This "TransmutationSpoiler Quest" is 100% optional and does not need to run. It is available once you're running the Transmutation.esp file. To activate it, start the "game console" by typing the "tilde" character on your keyboard. It looks like this: [ ~ ]. Then type :
StartQuest TransmutationSpoiler
Hit the [ Enter] key and then the tilde [ ~ ] key to bring you back to the game. The Spoiler Quest will eventually cycle through it's options and catch up with the correct "Transmutation on the Mountain" Quest stage.
4: Possible Conflicts:
No Oblivion scripts were altered, and this Quest has been tested and runs without conflict with newly started games as well as old save games with a variety of added mods.
