About this image

[Previously]

Jensine informed Juliette about theImperial Watch Captain called Audens Avidis who is extorting money from the shopkeepers. Worried that they will have to face negative consequences none of the merchants is taking measures to stop Audens. “Only another Captain of the Imperial Guard is would be able to arrest him” concludes Jensine. “So that would be?” asks Juliette as she has no idea about the Imperial Watch. “Try to talk with Hieronymus Lex, and see if he can help you. I will have to close the
shop for a while to get some extra supplies, so I will have to ask you to leave. Oh, and do not forget, this conversation never happened” said Jensine as he walked Juliette out. Slightly confused about what was going on Juliette decides to find her way to the Hieronymus, only to find out he is too busy to discuss the matter with her. “I am sorry but the rumours of the Grey Fox have my highest priority, go find Itius Hayn. He is probably at the Foaming Flask by now having a meal, if he likes you he might make some time for you”.

Upon arrival at the Foaming Flask Juliettefinds only two men inside. One at the bar, reading a book while sipping ale and the other sitting on one of the tables, having a meal. Juliette walks to the bar and orders an ale and makes her way to the table where the other man is having his meal. “Never a dull moment here in Cyrodill hm?” she asked before taking a sip. “Aye” he answers. At first Juliette has a hard time to get his attention, but after some time and a few bottles of ale he gets more open to her. “.. and not even talking about the corruption within the Watch.” Julie says after a while as he looks to his face investigating his reaction. “Corruption? There is no such thing as corruption among the Imperial Guard, dear” he says while eating the last bits of his plate. Then Juliette explains to him
all that she heard about Audens Avidis. “These are very serious charges. If you can get two witnesses to testify against Audens I am able to arrest him, otherwise I am afraid I can’t be of much help” he tells her. “That’s understandable. Luckily for me I know just the right people” Juliette smiles as
she stand up and walks away.

As I hurry back to Luronk and Ruslan Ithink about the dream again. On one side these matters are calming as I can think of something else than the royal assassination but on the other side I feel like I am wasting precious time. I have not always been the most helpful person as I used to feel like nobody cared to help me eithers. But this dream, vision, it had to mean something. If I help Luronk with his easy I will not just bring justice I will also get the information I need regarding the sewers. As I arrived at Luronk he did not seem keen about the idea of testifying against Audens, neither did Ruslan. But when I said them this was the only way to make sure Audens would get what he deserved they agreed. I just hope this will be enough to get him in jail.

The next morning Luronk comes visitingJuliette in the Merchants Inn where she had spend the night. “I bring good news, not only did Audens confessed to the crime he is also being taken to jail this very moment!” he tells Juliette joyfully. “That is great to hear, I am glad I could help you. But I have little time to waste so please, tell me where I can find the place I described earlier”. “Yes ofcourse! You mentioned it was rather bright area within the sewers, right?” Juliette nods as a response. “Well that leaves us with only three options, it has to be either the North or the South East or Prison exit of the sewers. The potholes within the city do not let much light through but these entrances do, so..” he continued. “Thank you Luronk, I think I know exactly where to go now” she says as she picks up her bag. “I will see you again, soon” she says right before leaving the Inn.

Word on the street says Emperor was killed in the Imperial Prison, so going to the Prison Exit of the sewers would be the most logical option. If it wasn’t for Luronk I would never know about a sewer
exit near the Imperial Prison. Oh well, that means this whole quest was not a waste of time. But even though she was happy she got theinformation she wanted, the image of Agarmir his head, bashed with a stone was something she could not get over her head. And if the feeling in her gut was telling her the truth, it would not be the last blood on her hands.
