About this image
Okay, so here is a much closer screenshot of Valorwind and not just of the outer gate :P
(also, improved color and lighting -- small alteration that made a world of difference!)
Unlike a lot of my previous work, the streets in Valorwind are sloped, and actually continue to slope in a spiral, occasionally branching off into alleyways. This was a tremendous challenge to synchronize with the architecture... But the result is fantastic. Building the settlement vertically like this makes it feel huge. I actually got lost a few times during testing.. Surprising, but really satisfying effect, given Valorwind's actual size.
Also note the detail and density of the foliage here. You can see why such a green area like this would have felt very out of place in urban Tyrendar.. But I think it stands much better as an independent settlement now. And certainly, this is a much more beautiful starting area than that musty, old basement of the Tower of Refuge.

Largest to smallest: Tyrendar, Valorwind, Goldhaven, Dawnshire.
There are other cities mentioned in the lore, but they are on other continents, and are thus being reserved for potential expansion content.
What will the transition itself look like (I mean in the end, not it testing version)? Is it going to be some kind of small quest to find the way to Areth?
All of this is, of course, still in the "idea" phase, and I don't expect any quests to appear in Areth for quite some time. Quest-writing will likely be the very last thing I work on, as I need NPCs, dialogue, etc.
