Among its features, version 0.02 - the next major update for Areth - will come with a new moon texture that will effectively replace Masser. Meet Gabriel, the latest iteration of the fiery moon of Arkan.

You'll notice that I since reduced a lot of cloud cover, and that the upper sky was recolored. This was done because, due to annoying bloom effects, Gabriel simply could not be seen in a bright yellow sky. In order to ease the new violet background into the rest of the color palette, the lower sky was recolored pink. I tried, to the best of my ability, to retain the original "glow" of the world that people said they liked, while also trying to maintain clear visibility of the moon.

Yet the biggest and boldest feature of the next update will be the many new, (lightly) decorated interior areas for the city of Tyrendar and its surrounding countryside (except caves, dungeons, and the Castle -- these are more complex interiors I feel deserve my complete, undivided attention in a special, future update). Production of these first interior areas will be the primary focus of version 0.02.
