A year ago today, I updated Realms of Asuron for seemingly the last time on the Oblivion Nexus. Since that time, I have become preoccupied writing the book on which the mod was based, which is now near 48,000 words in length. As the book nears completion, I find myself wondering heavily about the past and future of this project. Given the encylopedia-like format of the book, I wonder a lot whether it would be well-received. As a result of that doubt, I have been wanting to use my expanded work in a glorious return to mod development, or even a second attempt at developing a tabletop RPG, using the book as a guide. I'm not entirely sure yet, but if there's one thing I do know it's that, were it not for the mod, the book wouldn't be where it is today, for both have inspired great progress in one another.
