About this image
I seem to have more problems with this TES than any other... Thankfully, they are getting more and more minor. Still, this is a major annoyance, as I will probably be using this weapon for a while.
I've already posted about the problems on the Forums here. I'm posting here as well to see if anybody can help me faster because, frankly, I don't have a clue as to why this is going on. I have never encountered anything like this in all of my years that I've been modding.
In short, the sword disappears whenever I go into an exterior location, except for the parts that glow, as you can see in the picture above. Any ideas?

@Elbethien,
No, I did not make this. The sword is from Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul (and I believe also released as a modder's resource, along with several others).
@jobra888
I use OR with Every Cell Settings. I've tried disabling it and the my Bashed Patch, but somehow OR seems to continue working? How is beyond me, but I admit I don't fully understand how OR works. I'm not using an ENB (nor do I plan to).
I'll try replacing both the .nif and the texture to see if I can pinpoint the problem. I sincerely hope it isn't a script issue... although I cannot imagine why a script would be attached to this weapon. I also tried looking up the IDs for the rest of the Ayleid weapon set in Tes4Edit, but could not find any. If either of you know them, that might be useful to see if it is just a problem with this particular sword or the entire set.
I've also just returned from replacing both the .nif and the texture for the sword with the vanilla Elven Longsword model and texture, which shows up perfectly.
It's definitely a mesh issue. Thoroughly played around with the textures on the sword (evidently it's the scimitar, not the sword). Pasted elven sword textures onto the mesh. In interiors, it showed up as a weird, distorted mess of a texture (which is to be expected), but still disappeared when I went outdoors.
I copied over the mesh with the actual sword mesh (sorry if I'm being confusing, I just used a different mesh from the set) and it showed up outdoors. So now I'll just try and figure out how to get that mesh working properly... I've downloaded the modder's resource package from the Nexus. There's a scimitar model in there that works, but is if significantly lower quality. I have yet to try the "revamped" models (which I'm guessing the mesh in question is based of off. If worst comes to worst, I'll use the lower quality one, as I have exactly zero knowledge of fiddling with .nifs.
So, in short, I suppose we can consider this case closed, unless any of you have any suggestions to offer up on how to make the original mesh work properly. In any case, thank you all so much for your help.
EDIT: Fixed! The revamped model from the resource pack fixed the issue.
then I'd figure out the according nif and would replace it with a default weapon (should be of course also 1handed what your pic tells);
A) if the problem exists than it could be an (maybe) attached script or sth else in the esp
B) if not than I'd replace the weapons texture to find out if the problem is hiding in the mesh or the texture ..
.. but my guess is that it's a problem of Oblivion Reloaded with an ENB you might use
