   Well, they level with you, constantly. And whenever you buy or loot a new shiny, so do they. They have to compete with you. Whatever stupid game decision that was. ^^

      Agreed. I quit leveling after playing the vanilla game a few times, since I didn't care about the armor (glass looks garish & cheesy to me), & I like to ride around without a lot of hideous creatures jumping out every few yards. What is the point of leveling up if all of the opponents level up equally & you don't care about the new armor?
      
      Playing the vanilla game at first does make you very grateful for the mods that make the game more to your personal taste. ;-D
