I'm making a puppy. Edited dog model in blender, exported as obj and everything works fine in Nifskope, but not the texture. The UV map is a mess. What can I do? Export as 3ds works fine, but I can not use the model of it.
Looks like UV was corrupted in process of importing in Nifscope. Just tried it out on random nif model - imported in Blender, exported as obj, got corrupted UV after importing obj in Nifscope. Tried importing same obj again in Blender and UV map were intact. Strange.
But why you doesn't export model in nif format if you already use Blender? That would keep both UV map and skinning, unlike obj.
I'm not sure: are you using nif plugins for Blender? It is easier than using obj. I was making animals and clothes in Blender. I had no problems like yours. You should try export your dog as nif.
=) I don't have problems. My installation of Blender-Nif scripts-Nifscope works just fine. I was simply testing Elbethien's (the author of this screencap) way of importing models, and got the same result.
