    For a full clean re-install, do not forget to backup the Data folder and then "clean" it, with this I mean keeping only the Data folder's original files (Oblivion.esm, DLC.esp's and the BSA's...and I think that's all, someone correct in case I'm forgetting something).

      I agree here, I always have a "clean install" folder tucked away somewhere, with a bare data folder, the base .dll files, etc.

      But if there is only that one mod installed, Oblivion shouldn't cause trouble.

      Uh-oh ... there's that word "shouldn't" ...

      BTW, does WinDoze count as a mod?
