Definitely Vanilla body while this race requires Robert's Male. Make sure your version of Robert's Male body is correctly installed, and if it is, check your "Archive Invalidation" measures and the "BSA file dates" when using Steam Oblivion.
With Oblivion from Steam Archive Invalidation is required for all resources, not just textures as is the case with disc versions. And Steam has a habit of setting the last modified date of the BSA files far more recent than any replacer mod's assets can ever be, and in Oblivion file date trumps just about everything.
