About this image

Hyperia is finally starting to look like a proper, respectable total conversion mod, yeah?

Notice also the custom cursor and calendar. I still haven't figured out how to turn that "3E" into a "3A" (for 'Third Age'), but the 3 is the most important part anyway, so I guess it will have to do until I or someone else figures out how to make that tiny detail happen. As for the year itself (433), I'm still looking into that as well.. I believe I may able to change it, but even so, I'm going to need to spend some additional time working on the canon lore in order to truly determine an appropriate, exact year for which this mod will take place in the RoA timeline.

This is where my cartography skills really flourished, especially since I already had a nicely fleshed out heightmap to work with right from the start. I knew that some people had been asking for a world map, as it's pretty much a standard for RPGs, but I also wanted to avoid giving everything away -- like the map of Cyrodiil did. So this is a map design that should suit everyone. It gives you an idea of where you are on the landmass, so you have some sense of navigation, but I have refrained from the use of labels and location markers (aside from the giant title at the top-right corner of this map -- which you can't see, since the map itself is so massive -- which reads, 'The Realm of Hyperia'). But I don't see any spoilers involved in knowing your present location, so you're still going to see the region you're in. Here, you can see that I'm visiting the region of Kherad, the Iron Coast.
