Thank you for appreciating a little less colourful side of Oblivion
Really, it's mostly a coincidence that the colours are so sparse here. Indeed, it's this region - it's always cold, windy, snowy winter there, what else is to be expected?
@ Room207 - this is a witches' brew of mods The most prominent are: Feldscar, UL Snowdale, Cinematic ENB, Atmospheres (which you can hardly see, because bloom from enb has blown up the sky), SweetFX, and a lot of my custom textures - trees from modified vurt's flora, ground from Watch Your Step and modified Detailed Terrain, and Bruma-specific textures which I'm about to upload soon, when I've added a few minor elements.
Everything here looks the same as in game. Nothing was gimped or photoshopped, for once
I prefer it not so dark in my game (with a bit more green), but I still enjoy this beautiful image & am glad that you shared it with us. Just because it is slightly different than what I like best, does not mean that I cannot appreciate its beauty & the talent & work behind it. The more things in life that we can appreciate the more enjoyment we will have. So thank you for sharing a lovely image.
For me it's exactly this (as you called it aptly) "almost monochromatic" color scheme what makes this scene interesting. All these variations of white and grey color tones add a lot to the cold wintry atmosphere! Love it! ...and saved it!
