Oh, can you remember its name? (I've got this mod that doesn't show you names of newly discovered places until you ask a guard, or visit the nearest known location - you know, immersion sucks sometimes ;P) Is it a part of vanilla Ob. or it's included in UL Jerral Glacier?
Coul it be "Abandoned Outpost"? (or was that right next to it?) But I think it's a part of Jerall Glacier, got the same meshes as this great wall between Cyrodiil and Skyrim added by UL. I can look that up though, I think my last save was up on the hill above, so getting down there might solve this mystery.
I remember Abandoned Outpost from one of your recent images - no, it's not the same place, but must be somewhere close. There were a gang of Nord bandits in white-coloured winter armours camping in a small graveyard (but they may come from some other mod), there's a characteristic giant statue next to the castle, overlooking a deep valley. To the nort-west you can see the Frostcrag spire, and to the south-east far away there's the Imperial City. I believe I could see Bruma to the north, but it may have been another town added by one of my mods. The settlement may be a colony of Feldscar (by Arthmoor), but I'm at a loss here... Here's a broader panorama for reference - it's looking south-east from above the village. Cheydinhal should be down in the valley.
I forget the name of the place with out having the game open. But it had Outpost in the name and something to do with Frankenstein. The windmill/tower had the body in it while a book was a log of some ones work to make a creature much the way that Victor Frankenstein did.
It indeed is called "Abandoned Outpost" (I just travelled there several minutes ago) What it is story-wise? No idea, a Oblivion gate near this place needed my (or my character's) attention first,... and he really was looking forward to have a roof above his head after the last disturbing place the poor lad visited...
But I can confirm it is added by UL (removed it test-wise, the mill was gone). It's this kind of mods I love the most, if they are installed you just forget about them because they blend in as if they have been there from the beginning. BUT if you dare to remove them, all Daedric Princes are goning to eat your face off - or something like that...
Ooh, thank you guys very much - honestly - for this great detective job. And indeed, it's a mark of a great mod if you can't tell whether it's part of the original game or some added content. Kudos to both of you
Not boring at all! What you call boring (I know it is meant ironic) is exactly what I like about your postcards - those "simple" and interesting locations!
