About this image
So I've been revisiting this grave every so often for the past few years (I want to say 4) and I've never actually explained who's buried there, preferring to keep it a mystery as it links to Cris' past which is something else I like to keep a mystery but since I'm out of ideas for Oblivon related images. Basically everything I do is starting to get stale imho, I've pretty much only been doing shots of Cris and Shadow for the past few months and even then it's been infrequent as fuck and only them because I have no ideas for Breeze, Alexis, Teneicha or Elise and even with Cris and Shadow it's been sexy Wednesday shots which I've now ran out of ideas for as well (how many new things can you do with bikinis and lingerie before it starts to get samey?) This was the last shot I had an idea for so after this that's it until my idea banks are stocked up again.
But anyway about the grave and who's buried there: it's Cris' mother who was the leader of the mercenary band she was a part of (Cris was a mercenary before becoming a town guard due to her family's debt of honour to Chorrol, even though she got moved to Kvatch she still sees it as serving Chorrol) and fell in battle against a bandit raid near Chorrol, the then count of Chorrol (quick note on Cris' age, she's in her mid 90s given that in my headcanon for the game elves are longer lived than humans living to about 200 meaning both Cris and Shadow would be dead (or extremely old) by the time Skyrim roles around. For comparison Shadow is actually really young being only 26 while Breeze is middle aged being about 120) the count gave the young Cris a place in the Chorrol guard (she just never bothered to rise to the rank of captain despite serving in the guard for 30 odd years) and her mother was buried in the chapel's cemetery.
So yeah that's basically it for the grave, it's just Cris paying her respects to her mother.
Title comes from the Alestorm song:
