About this image

Greetings, all! I have been hard at work these past couple days on Areth, specifically in designing an area for players to first spawn into the world.

I understand that this is a feature many followers of the project have been wanting for some time now. In the past, players were required to type in a console command in order to travel to the world. Yet this will be the first build to feature a means of traveling to the game world by simply activating a teleporter. The destination (part of which may be seen in the image above) has been carefully designed in order to preserve immersion. At the moment, it is a functioning transport system without any background story, yet I am hoping to one day tie it in with a brief questline 'summoning' you to Areth.

For this area, I was chiefly inspired by the player hub present in the game Overlord, which saw the player spawning into a cave below a ruined tower that opened up into the rest of the world. Once this area is finished, I'm hoping to publicly release the first update in over a year! (wow) That said, I am very much looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the mod's latest appearance once it releases. This is, after all, only the beginning.

    It is so excited.
I hope that this version comes with bsa or esm.

No bsa or esm yet, but maybe in the future, with the help of others, and not until there is a true need for unique assets.
At the moment, I am building Areth with 100% existing Oblivion and Shivering Isles assets, so no need to manage any loose files at all, unlike in the past I do not wish to repeat my mistakes.

I review a lot of modes.

I think that, in my opinion, vanilla resources alone can build a wonderful world.

Yes, forcing myself to work with only vanilla resources has definitely helped me to become more creative with the design of Areth. And so this version is my most detailed world yet!
However, in the future, this may change if the mod proves popular enough to get outside help Yet my primary tasks, I have decided, will be in storytelling and worldbuilding. This, I have promised myself. I will leave the rest to others, should they join me.
