About this image

As promised, I have uploaded a video showing the full animated environment of the last screenshot submitted here, which was meant to depict the magic/sci-fi blended atmosphere of Arkan. As per the video description, the following is a three-minute preview of the general sound and appearance of "Exode: Chronicles - Hyperia", an  upcoming mod for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Note that the area in the mod shown here is still in development.

The music in this video was custom-made by me for EC - Hyperia in MAGIX Music Maker Studio and then stretched in Audacity for a slow, ambient effect. I apologize in advance that it appears to skip in places, as I was experimenting with fading in order to cut time. For those who want to hear all of it, I will soon be posting the full instrumental elsewhere on my channel.

Also, fun fact: The chimes you hear aren't actually a part of the music; they are environmental sound effects. These fx were designed to work beside the music, rather than inside, so that all of the explore tracks have a common element that binds them together. This blending produces the illusion of an infinite song, as the background chimes make it difficult for the player to distinguish exactly where each track ends. The chimes (and lightning) are supposed to represent the nature of Arkan's magically charged sky.

That lighting would look amazing in shivering isles :O

The area you are creating seems like it would be magical to play

      Awesome suggestion, KittenRAIN!
I could very easily develop an Arkanian weather mod on its own.
And, yes, I am aiming to develop a world that is powered by magic that cannot be wielded (or, at least, nowhere near as easily wielded as in TES). In this way, magic can play a much more interesting role in the environment
