About this image

I reinstalled the game and I see a problem with trees textures in far view. These colored squared disapear when near them, even after re-install Improved Trees and Flora and re-initialized with OBMM. Is someone had the same problem?

    Try and install ITF manually?

      made sure to invalidate?

I've never had pink textures occuring beside after removing or adding and forgetting to invalidate :S

It was done too after install ITF, I always do that for each texture changed or added.

Those are missing tree/shrub billboards. Why they are missing I do not know, but that's what they are.

When I approach, the colored squared disapears. They are there only in far view.

When you get out of whatever range you have set for distant objects/ugrids spts switch to flat billboards, they just kind of fade into each other. Does the tree/shrub seem to sort of emerge from the squares when you get closer?

There is nothing inside the squares and it itself only disapears whith nothing to replace it.

I wonder if the trees are missing too, then. Assuming you keep all your mods as omods and/or bash installers have you tried cleaning the data folder with wrye bash, then uninstalling and reinstalling Oblivion?

I don't have wyre bash and no omod mods installed. I used only the Archive invalidation tool in OBMM

Sorry, yes I have detailed terrain as omod, that's all.

The lowres texture files are missing.

Are the lowres textures files normally in a specific folder?

it could be missing billboard textures

      oblivion/data/textures/trees/billboards

the billboards are the lowres textures added by modders for a very low res image so that the tree just does not suddenly pop up as you get nearer.
Have you any Unique landscape plugins installed?
maybe one of those has gone missing.
in the vanilla game the files are stored in a bsa so unlikely to disappear.
The missing texture may not be from ITF.
It may be from an SPT file from a mod that cannot find its texture.
If you look in data/trees you may find a lot of SPT files that get added by mods.
Try removing them all and put them in a backup folder and see if the problem goes away. You might get a lot of misshapen trees, but you should see all the textures properly, if you do you can then add the SPT files back one by one until you find the problematic one.

Thank you for this explaination Discov, I come back to tell if it's ok.

Edit : sorry, that doesn't work, UL re installed, lod redone with tes4ll,

textures re initialized, the two last mods re installed, I deleted all before reinstall.

Also remove Data Trees and reinstalled re initialising all of them... No change at all... Forgot to mention that even removing each folders and files, and verified without them, the squares were still there.
