I forget what they named it but the roads from Red mountain that were really created by lava flows should really not be sandy. Imo it should be rocky like dried lava in Hawaii. that could be a good retexture project for you if you are looking for one. I don't think there is anything else like it out there and I think it is ultra realistic.
Well, I don't know, when you play in Morrowind, the last eruption must have been a long time ago, and with all those ashstorm, I suppose it's normal to have them covered by ash sand. And I have a lot of project already in plan so it might be difficult
