If I recall correctly, there is an existing Medusa model one can find in a Loverslab mod, I think it was the monstergirls one.

You'd have to fish out the file and it's textures though, but it could save some work in theory.

Additionally, you might want OCR's argonian textures for the skin as a placeholder till you can get something more close to concept.

It might be possible to use Dremora Face Texture by Enayla and merged it in a pseudo photoshop edit to get a better placeholder texture for what the face might look like in theory.

    Thank you all very much!

    I was also recommended
    http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/3647/? (Petrify Spells)

I'll see what I can do with all of these
At least I have more resources now thanks to all of you

I fear I'll still have to manually design most of the face parts as that "carnival mask - like" tattoo design on the picture is a bit rare, but resources will help making it easier

Back to work on weekend though, rest of days it's a lot harder

Turning into stone is most easily achieved by scripted idle animation means. You can force an endless idle with incredibly high bone priorities on an actor where he doesn't move even an inch and he will basically be just a lifeless statue, no action or interaction will be able to break this state. The statue in Bravil technically 'is' a frozen actor achieved in exactly the same way.

Seek a good standing pose, like with a painfully petrified expression at best, turn off some of the actor's properties/features via script as is done for the statue in Bruma, and last but not least apply a stone-skin skin-shader all over the actor, including everything they wear at the time, again already done in Bruma. Eviola, random poor victims turned into stone in mere seconds.

How about the mod process that gives you the ability to change your Bravil statue? It should give you the body texture & you can simultaneously remove the NPC or disable him unless you want to have a reversal spell.

Growlf produced a number of scale textures and normals; you may want to try those; HotBodies 4.x thru 5.0 should be available this site.

As for the turn to stone, I haven't experimented with scripting just yet; however, there is another mod, Resnod's Manikins (or something very similar), also available this site. The original included skin textures for stone and wood. Possibly use texture as a visual effect, paired with an obscenely high burden to provide immobility...?

    Hope some of that helps.
