About this image

I accidentally inverted the colors of a map of Cyrodiil tonight and decided to share the results. Thought it looked pretty cool!

Yes, playing with the map-colours is fun. I like to print my maps on paper, so that I don't have to use the GPS (F4 key). It's hard to find a colouring that retains the information but doesn't kill the printer, as this one certainly would .

It's really cool that you prefer to use physical maps Yeah, I was never fond of "smart maps" in RPGs either. It's a role-playing game: the genre is all about world exploration. And yet, Oblivion carries so many features that try to prevent the player from exploring -.-

I use DarNified UI. One of its coolest features (in addition to the fading health/fatigue/magicka bars) is that it allows you to disable the player position arrow and all the stuff that shows up on your compass.

DarnUI, yes, I use it, too (and, when loading an older savegame, with the arrow), but still, to have a 50cm X 70cm map (for Ubanga, not Cyrodiil) is a different story . I love my map, with all my markings and hand-writings on it.

I wish more people played games like you do xD I am somewhat similar. Although I do not draw maps (except for RoA), I do write notes alongside most anything I'm playing, and that includes Oblivion. Sometimes it's for memory's sake (to remember where my character needs to go next, where I left a stash of gear I couldn't carry, etc.), but most of the time it's to reference different parts of game design that I find good or bad. It's something I've been doing my whole life, since I learned to write basically xD I have always wanted to get into game design from the very beginning

Anyway, it's cool that you enjoy logging your adventures as well

Also, I really have to give Ubanga a try sometime. I've been hearing so much about it. Nehrim is another mod people have been recommending me to look into (especially since I'm developing a TC mod myself), but, unfortunately, it seems to be a bit much for my PC. It crashes often Not Nehrim's fault though.. I just really need to upgrade x)

Alimal makes use of the best low-density textures he could find (mostly 1k or lower). It should work on older machines, too. I use an office computer myself :/.
