The contrast of the Oblivion screenshot is much more visually striking than the Skyrim one, I reckon, so Oblivion is the winner IMO. They're still both great, however.
Having played both oblivion and skyrim(I own them both on steam, morrowind too), I have to say that skyrim feels empty... So many things in oblivion that skyrim took out, like fame/infamy for example, become a famed hero or a infamous villan in oblivion and the citizens and guards comment on it.
Then take skyrim where you are just treated as part of the common rubbish even when you complete the main questline...
I like oblivion so much more then skyrim, sure skyrim has dual wielding but I still prefer oblivion.
I also like cyrodiil's environments, skyrim felt bland...
I watched someone play Skyrim on You Tube & realized I had seen all that I needed to see there. I refuse to give money for a game that is not mine, allows a 3rd party to make changes in my computer & game that I do not monitor, & is vastly inferior to the prior game in scope & depth. I do not want to encourage that with my money. I wish we could get together to purchase Oblivion for the fans & rework it for ourselves. I suppose it would require several flavors to work for such a broad base of interests, but that should be no problem for Oblivion modders.
Thank you for the comparison images. That is a great job on the transfer & she is breathtaking.
The background gives it away. Bland whitish grays against colorful deep greens, that is Skyrim against Oblivion to me. I personally prefer Heartland Cyrodiil's scenery over Skyrim's at any time.
Drake on the other hand heavily protests having to fight against kinsmen who defile everything he and his kind are standing for and believing in. The Little Dragon detests facing them, let alone having to kill them. He'd rather believe they won't exist, so I doubt he'll ever set foot into Skyrim and take part in its plot anytime soon. In Oblivion he's the only one, more or less, alone with this dragon deity he grew so fond of and his offspring heirs to serve.
And when it comes to me, Drake's protests negate any chance of me playing the game for the time being. Besides, my MBP most likely won't be able to handle it anyways, nor am I myself really interested in it that much either. It all boils down to mutual disinterest from me, myself and I when it comes to Skyrim.
So I'll stick with Oblivion and continue my projects here.
In oblivion, they glow more I guess. The one thing I miss is that in Skyrim you have this mod to make your eyes change (vampire glow) at will... I have pretty vampire eyes for Oblivion too, but I need to change in the race menu every time I want

Glad you liked it, it means I succeeded in what I wanted

Though I believe some mods turn it into a greener place, but I don't have them right now
