Hehe! In Nehrim my alchemy skill is not that high yet. By now I only know the first (out of four) effect(s): Restore Health - so there is no risk when eating them!
About 2 weeks ago a workmate of mine told me that one of his friends had found some small mushrooms in a nearby forest. At first I was really surprised but actually it's no wonder in these spring-like temperatures we had in this "winter".
