About this image

Yeah, not much to say here XD A WIP. Sadly, I have no idea to make these work with unrigged ears, since I'd have to combine the meshes (ears have to be one-piece, unrigged meshes to work for races) and I have no idea how to do that. So for now, they are for my wig mod >.<

earing wise it would be difficult mechanically to place ones near the end (do you hang earings from the top of the ears? they weigh on your ears as well). So although "cool" most loop ears probably would be unconfortable with them toward the ends of the ears (cause them the dreaded EAR DROOP! AHHHHH). Anyhow it would be anoying I would think to the wearer.
Just my opinion. Piercing wise you have to be careful where the point goes through too (not cartilage in the helix for example) as it could make for so 'bad things' for the poor elf's ears.
Yet again just my opinion. The inward ones look good although you might wish too make them approximately 65-75% linearly smaller (mass wise those would be what about 30 graps at that size kind of heavy perhaps half that weight or smaller might be a good size). The ends of the ears are more likely to have 'clamp' ear pieces and be light weight.

I've seen that in a few anime seemed to look OK and at the same time make sense anatomically. Think of them as a thin wing at the top edge of the ears (top of the helix) with small rib structure pressing on the ear along it's length. Heavier toward the head and much lighter toward the tip of the helix..
A normal (whatever that is in fantasy) earing hanging from either the 'ear edge' (metal structure at the top) or from the lobule section of the ear. That would probably be more in the centroid of the lobule my guess.

I always thought the thin metal thing was rather unique and looked better than a earing at the end (causing 'dreaded ear droop' hehehe).

Anyhow I'm glad you haven't given up on making stuff for obliviion. These days Oblivion lives on in "winulation" in Wine et al. Do not decry small beginnings I always say! (Next you'll have a ton of wigs with earings and ears for instant lop ears!) Anyhow a good idea, I don't remember ever giving my characters earings (hmmm).

    Back to Blaze Blue ...

    HI Chaks,
may as a start copy a rectangle from the ear-mesh and rebild your jewelery, unwrap this and replace it at the ear-texture.

Chaks, I'm in a hurry so I'll be brief, I'll expand later.

For the ears to work as body parts, the mesh must be one single mesh even at modeling level, and the final nif file must have ONE only material and ONE only diffuse map.

Plus, you need a complete set of nif, tri, egt and egm files for the ears to work, even if the egm and egt are blank, and the working files must have been conformulated from the nif as source, no second-hand ones allowed.

    Cheers!
