About this image

Suddenly my personal side project turned out to be so exciting it took a lion share of these rare moments when I can detour from my real life race against deadline. Actually, my friends, can you even tell the difference between this and vanilla? ;)
Of course it doesn't mean I'm neglecting UBG - I'm simply closed until after Christmas (the reason why I'm less here and more in RL ;P)

Special kudos to KatsBits for her amazing tutorial. It opened my eyes to many seemingly obvious but often skipped details. Any texturing aficionado should either already know these things, or study and memorise this tutorial.

Take care, you all.

    Thank you my friends.
@ discovery - I should mention that we owe these smooth transitions to Al. It's beyond me how he managed to pull this trick off so nicely with just vanilla textures
But yeah, I adjusted these new textures (hue, content, etc.) to make them blend smoothly with one another. I wonder what they're going to look like in Cyrodiil...

Also, original quality is much better - for some reason many screenshots are strangely blurred when I open them in gimp, and I can't find a solution to this problem. All my bmp's are cool and sharp when I open them in IrfanView, but when I open them in gimp to correct colour balance, etc. and export them to jpg format - whoosh, quality drops below the line of decency. It's not AFTER export, but BEFORE - on opening. So what you see is most often an astigmatic version of the original.

what really grabs attention here is the seamless transition from one of ground to another, it really does look natural. we are all getting spoilt lately with lougians new work and brittainys in the offing. Xmas coming early?

As you spend most of your time in RL, I could bet that this one is a RL photo...
Wow, of course it's better than vanilla... You become a very good modder... Cheers! Bravo!
