Finally got a capital freighter, and the fins pretty much blocked the hangar! This mod reorganizes the peripheral attachments found on the vertical freighter and makes a clearer runway for the hangar entrance, as well as more aesthetically pleasing.

Finally got a capital freighter, and the fins pretty much blocked the hangar! This mod reorganizes the peripheral attachments found on the vertical freighter and makes a clearer runway for the hangar entrance. As well as making the freighter more aesthetically pleasing, at least I think so.
I started out simply removing the fins, then decided to place them further down the hull. But then I decided, why not add a few more, and some more "sails", and how about some lights! The end product is this mod.
The greatest thing about this mod is now the approach into the hangar is clearer, and simulates a runway, complete with guiding lights.
I highly recommend you also use my Freighter Landing Range Decreased mod
This edits the file CAPITALFREIGHTER_PROC.SCENE.MBIN and won't be compatible with any mod that also edits it.
I'm not too familiar with how the proc files work, I'm pretty sure this will work on any vertical capital freighter (except Sentinel freighters obviously), my only fear is that the game may generate some freighters without all my changes? But I doubt it. Let me know if anything looks out of place.
Update: I've come across at least 4 vertical freighters so far, and they all have my changes! The only difference is some of them have an additional section, making them longer. Which is better than them being shorter, otherwise my changes wouldn't work!
This was all done manually, so you can imagine the time it took..
Manual Installation :
Unzip the download using 7zip, WinRar, or whatever suits your fancy
Place the file "_MOD_Vertical.Freighter_JovianStone.pak" in your \No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS folder (Create a Mods folder if one doesn't exist)
Delete or rename the file DISABLEMODS.txt found in the PCBANKS folder
Uninstall :
Delete the file "_MOD_Vertical.Freighter_JovianStone.pak"
